Still Alive 2: Electric Boogaloo · 1:13am Nov 12th, 2014
Just letting you all know that I am indeed, still alive as the title says (though I am in fact, not prone to boogaloo, electric or otherwise). I do have three announcements regarding my stories, and writing in general, however. First thing is that I'm going to visit my sister for the holidays, so don't expect an update until after Thanksgiving.
Secondly, the first new story will in fact, be about Twilight's herd, or more accurately, the children in her herd. Yes, Sunny Days, Starry Skies, Twilight Starslayer, and all their sisters (13 in all, besides the first three) are returning (or appearing for the first time) in a new vignette series titled Our House. It will be a series of one-shot chapters, and very episodic. The first chapter will be all about Sunny Days' first time away from her parents. I won't spoil any surprises, but it also heavily involves the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
Thirdly, Our House will not be the main story I'll be working on while I'm away. That one will simply be an outlet for me, for when I have to blow off some steam and just write about something designed to make your teeth rot with sweetness. The serious story I'll be working on will either be a Twitavia story (something I've been itching to do for ages since I heard of the ship), or something involving Plain Sight, possibly a retrospective of her life up to the point where I left off in TSW, or perhaps an episode-by-episode accounting of where she was and what she was doing during the canon show (perhaps with a bit on how things went as Twilight was growing up in Canterlot); I still haven't decided.
I do apologize for how long I've been out of the writing game, but with how badly my last story went (for me, not necessarily the reader), combined with burnout, I needed a little time away from serious writing and schedules of the same. Hopefully, when I come back, I'll be able to get back into the swing of things, and crank out the stories that everyone here loves.
Now, I'm going to break with my tradition of highlighting a story with under 2,000 views, and go with one much more popular, but hasn't seen an update in some time, in the hopes that renewed traffic will kickstart the author's interest. Ten Years Gone is a fantastic story that really deserves more chapters. Granted, it's a HiE (a subgenre rife with horribleness), but this one takes it above and beyond, by subverting many of the expected tropes (or taking others to humorous extremes). I highly recommend you read it, and if you like it, leave a comment (but for Pete's sake, don't leave a rude demand for more chapters). Let the author know that this is something worthy of continuation.
Oh sweet I look forward to the Twi Harem kids, I've always wanted to see some of that.
Also glad you're getting back into the game, I just finished my first chapter in months cause of a variety of reasons. But I'm hoping I can get back into wrotund more.
Best of luck.
Whooo tooth rotting sweetness I am so there!
Oooh, TwiTavia
Buenos...
While I wouldn't mind seeing Twikids form the TSW, dood. I'm kinda leaning towards Twitavia, dood.
Also, I do hope you get back into the game, dood. Too many Flashligths and Spilights have been appearing and trying to ruin Lady Sparkle's good name, dood. Hetero-relations with the Bella of EQG or a dragon that's half her age and is kinda-sorta her brother? This is a strange fandom indeed, dood.

Well, the harem kids is just kinda my place I go when I need to just do something that has nothing to do with my serious stuff; kinda like your Trash Bin of Futalight story. I'm kinda leaning towards the Twitavia anyway. I have bad experience with venturing out into oc territory. I do agree that Flash Sentry is pretty much the Bella Swan of MLP. You could use a cardboard standee, and lose nothing in the scene.
Is it bad that one of the main reasons I want more about Twilight's herd is on the hopes that at some point one of them will say to another "You're an idiot, Starscream"?

That's not bad at all. In fact, I may use that... along with, "Here's a hint!"

Hey, so long as none of the Princesses are forced to tell her "Coronation, Starscream? This is bad comedy."
