There is More to the Story I Have to Tell You(tiny excerpt time) · 7:36am Nov 3rd, 2014
It's been a while. October was a dark month and November is shaping up into more of the same. Got to break the writer's block slump somehow, huh?
“This is going to cost me my job.”
Shining Armor sighed as he surveyed the destruction of the hi-sec wing of the detention floor. From his spot at the door to the primary prisoner trade-off station, he could see down the seven or so feet of hallway left before the floor just stopped existing. The floor and the adjoining walls all ended in a ragged, roughly spherical and crumbling edge, like some gigantic beast had taken a bite out of the building. All that was left was an open space where the cells that had held the abomination Twilight had discovered until the night previous.
What had his sister called it? Lu-na? Luna? Something like that? It didn’t matter at the moment. It was no longer his concern. The chaos caused by the explosion had lasted for hours. He’d done a head count himself. All hooves accounted for with only minor injuries reported. He was no architect, but a fourth of an entire floor, thirty stories up was going to cost the Council a lot of bits to repair.
He had specialists looking into now. Once he had a preliminary report on the damages and assessment on the stability and security of the building, he was expected to bring those findings to the Solar Council. They were in a special meeting at the moment. That gave him a little breathing room. If he played his cards right, he might walk away with his job and Captain's rank still intact.
“Sir!” Shining tore his gaze away from the gaping hole and late night Neigh York beyond it and turned to the tired looking stallion in Security armor. “Sir, evac of the top floors has been completed. I also have the preliminary damages report, if you want it.”
“Give it here. Then I want you to have a flier brought ‘round. I’ll be speaking to the Council today.”
“Good luck, sir.” The Security pony passed a slim stack of papers to Shining Armor. “There’s no way you could have known that thing was so unstable it exploded. The Council will have to realize that. Right?”
“I hope so, LT.” He folding the report and slipped it into his breast pocket with the notes from his sister’s interrogation. But do I tell them that Twilight told me to let her - it - to see the moon? Am I prepared to explain to Mom and Dad why I’m suddenly an only child, if I do?

Not against the corruption and perversion of the Harmony she holds dear. She's not the only one, either. The kid gloves are off.

Well, she didn't kill anypony and the damage doesn't seem to have spread past the building it happened in. Sounds like she was fairly gentle considering how mad she is about the state of the world.
