I'm sorry to announce to everyone that there won't be an update for Halloween.
I did try, mind. I tried writing the chapter as best I could. But when it came to Ray's parts, without Sci's input or thoughts on anything... it just didn't feel the same. I've really come to rely on him and his input is never unappreciated, especially when writing parts with Ray. It just felt really kind of... empty.
Now, there is some good news. I stressed it had been four, now counting five, weeks since he was last in touch with me. However, going on over to his FiM page you can see he last signed in about a week ago. So I feel that does confirm my hopes: he's just being kept really busy. That's the hope I have right now.
I promise that as soon as he gets in touch, we'll try to sort something out. I'm so sorry again for the long wait, but you all really are the best. You're all so patient and understanding. We all have work and commitments and sometimes real life just gets in the way. It's put a damper on a lot of good fanfics on this site and others. I just hope we'll come through in the end.
It's not just that either. He's not just my co-writer and partner. He's my friend. One of the best I've had. And I miss him. So it won't just be for the story's sake that I'll feel better once he gets in touch. He's never let me down before and he won't let me down now. I'm sure of it.

It is alright. There are things that we cannot control in our lives. Perfectly understandable that reality decided to be a real ass(no pun intended).
I understand. Please promise though you will publish that Halloween chapter, when it is completed. I know that may not be for a while, but when it is done please publish it. I would like to see how Dusk and Twi act on their second Nightmare Night. Good luck. I hope Sci contacts you soon.
Not alot can be done at this point. It'll come when it comes. We can and will be patient in the mean time.
Ah, don't worry yourself, mate. If fans are true fans, they will be as patient as they need to be. Besides, sometimes things just take time. And you have an iron-clad excuse, rather than my story's update being delayed due to laziness.
So, yeah. Take all the time you need. Quality over efficiency.
No need to worry. Beside, I'm a fan of Dusk Noir saga and I can wait for as long for a new chapter come.

Oh thank God. I was worried something had happened to him. At least now we know that he should be ok.
I understand what you're going through, Alpha. Sci's a good friend to me too, and I'd have a hard time writing Ray's part if I didn't know if he was okay. It's the same way with my art, I suppose; I can hardly work on Sci's requests because I kept worrying about him. But now that we know that he's at least alright, things should get better.
But don't worry about more delays. Like many of the others commenting, I am fine with waiting. Besides, I haven't uploaded anything in literally a year, so you shouldn't feel bad.
