One of the few things on this site I've been thinking an utter oversight has been fixed!

It's from a book-trilogy, fittingly named The Illuminatus! Trilogy.

Imagine every conspiracy (from before the eighties, or so since it's a bit old by now) theory thrown into a blender, mixed with enough LCD to fry the mind of an elephant, and you're close but not quite there.
The fnord thing is one of those conspiracies, a hidden word everybody is trained from birth to ignore and feel extremely uncomfortable on seeing. According to that conspiracy, it's near slobbered in the newspapers, EXCEPT for in the adds and the other frivolous stuff.
Let's just say that it takes heavy inspiration from this real-world chaos religion named Discordianism, and the Discord readers of this site is more familiar with would probably give up in disgust with how disjointed the thing can be.
Or declare it the best book EVAR. One of the two.
Still, it's a trip (pun-intended) unlike any other, and I'd recommend it if you can find it.

PRAISE THE SUUUUUUUN!
This is a spoiler
Spoilers existed before. You could have asked me how, I use them all the time.

Yeah, I knew that.
But pressing a single UI button compared to the whole spoiler /spoiler thing is quite the ease-of-use step forward, so that's why I'm glad for it.
