An update about the update.
Due to work, exhaustion, and other reasons, the release of the final chapter will be a teeny bit later than when I first predicted. I need some extra time because when I have worked on it, it's been frenzied 'WRITE-WRITE-WRITE' on a timer without editing. I've learned before never to skip the editing step, especially with something like this.
So here's the deal: my goal is to keep my promise and have the chapter fully written by the 23rd. Then I will send it off to proofreaders and editors. Some of my most trusted people could take a few days or so to go through it. In all honesty, these people are probably busier than I am.
I am sorry about this, but hopefully it won't be too much of a delay.

Full explanation for your waiting: I fyayed up.
I tried to have the chapter ready, but the end of October brought a huge amount of projects relating to work and the holiday. I scrambled and fell so behind, I'm still playing some Halloween catch-up.
It's still getting worked on, plus I sent an old story not published on this site to my editors as a way to tide people over. However, I've yet to hear anything back regarding that. They've got their own lives as well, so I can't blame them.
I hope this slows the stream of tears.
oh trust me I totally understand getting swamped with work. I'll probably start my rereading now to tide myself over.
Are we going to get that chapter for Christmas?

I'd love to make that promise, but I really don't know. Things have been so busy lately with both my jobs, family obligations with the coming holiday, and most of my freetime has been spent doing art as a sort of third job. That last subject might come up in a future blog post.
One of these days I might just have to request a week's vacation to lock myself in and just catch up on everything.
