Where the Hell Have I Been!? · 3:56am May 14th, 2015
Hey guys.
Unfortunately writing has been completely dormant as I've hit the insane schedule regarding three jobs that pick up when the weather is warm on top of other projects. In fact, I'm convinced that I've actually messed myself mentally through all of this.
You see, I've only been getting an average of around 5 hours sleep, 6 if I'm lucky, every night. Not enough time for the brain to do its thing. So each day has been mostly running on muscle memory, which while neat to just have things happen before I realize I did it, the part of my brain required for actual thought has been deteriorating. The most obvious of which when I tried to open a doc and start writing again is that my vocabulary is shot. Even in everyday life, I struggle to think of words such as 'consequences' or 'inadvertent'.
So I'm going to try to get more sleep and pick up some books from the library to refill my word bank. I'll also try to keep writing some with the help of my friends, but it'll be a slower process.
If anyone has any advice to help, I'd love to hear it.
Sorry about everything. Hope to pick back up ASAP.
Sleep man. A lot. We can still wait.
Also, I think if you keep reading as much as you can, your synapse wont deteriorate as fast as normal.
I speak from experience. Once I tried to go with a job and college with 5 hours of sleep, and I failed miserably. On both.
Get your sleep man! Then come back, we miss ya but life is important!
Sleep well.
It seems like you're trying your absolute best in order to do what you can in regards writing. By all means you should worry more about your life and whatnot before stories about magical horses. I do hope you get more sleep, for your sake, not the stories'.
Glad to see you haven't left us, and I hope things work out for you!
