Waiting for results, and a new story · 11:05pm Oct 11th, 2014
Yeah, that's pretty much me waiting for the AppleDash group to post a winner, except that I've just ran out of sweets. There are some really strong entries in there, too, which were really fun to read. No idea where I would place, or if I'd place at all, but considering I've gone from zero to decent in four months worth of FimFiction, I'm fairly confident that next competition it'll be even better!
As far as projects go, I'm working on a new story that I'll be publishing in chapters (something I don't often do). I decided to operate in that manner because I have a very strong idea of how the story will work, and it's been planned out from beginning to end, so there's little chance of me abandoning it halfway through (if you've seen my failed pony stories file on my computer, you'd know that there's a serious chance of that happening).
It's probably the most egotistical thing I've written, though: I even gave it a latin title. I could probably take humility lessons from Trixie at that point. Still, I love me some latin titles, especially when they're the sort that would make a alliterating anarchist proud.
I'm estimating it to run for eight like sized chapters, and the third is already being written up. I write pretty fast when I'm having fun, too, so the next one should come up in a few days.
As for other projects, I get at least two ideas a day, but drop just as many the next. I'm still trying to figure out a changeling story, though (even two), one being a 'guess the changeling' style mystery, and the other another ego trip I've had bouncing around my skull since I started trying to think of story ideas.
Also, I want to write about cowponies. I don't know when, how, or why, but I like cowponies.
Maybe I'll fuse Appledash and westerns? Who knows? I certainly don't.
