I'm leaning towards it being a good thing. While I am not entirely certain Microsoft will take it in a direction I will like, to be fair they have plenty more resources to help it grow. Mojang is small, and Microsoft is one of the biggest companies on the planet. I'm more concerned about this rumored Minecraft 2, because I don't want Minecraft to lose support and updates. I'm also for it because I want neither Mojang nor Notch to be, pardon the pun, one trick ponies. Notch has repeatedly tried to make more games, and most of them fell flat. I feel like this is a good way for him to move on from its titanic shadow.
