Amazon reviews are the best thing ever · 7:54am Jul 21st, 2014

[url=http://www.amazon.com/Tengwar-Script-Prayer-Comfort-Stainless/product-reviews/B00HZV4PMQ/ref=cm_cr_dp_see_all_summary?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=byRankDescending&tag=io9amzn-20&ascsubtag=[type|link[postId|1608053286[asin|B00HZV4PMQ[authorId|5717568933837167078]It is a very nice ring, though.

I think my favorite was:

So I bought this ring as a gift for my brother on his birthday. I got it on time, a few days before his birthday and the quality was brilliant. There wasn't a mark on the ring. I'm glad it arrived then though; after getting a good look at it I realized that it was far too precious to waste as a gift. I've since ordered another ring from some guy called Sauron (there were only nine in stock, so I think I got lucky with that one).

In other news, I've been fiddling with some stories, so maybe I'll actually post something this week. Wouldn't that be nice?

Definitely never said that before.

EDIT: And naturally I got distracted looking at these and following the links to the other items viewed by people looking at that one.

There was a link from that page to a 55 gallon drum of personal lubricant (presumably to help those folks who got the ring stuck on their finger - it is kind of clingy, but that's just overkill), which had this wonderful review:

I'm fine with someone buying 55 gallons of personal lube, but it's concerning that the same people also viewed the Spyderco tactical folding knife and a body bag.

Sure enough, a body bag was one of the "Customers who viewed this item also viewed" items, which itself had the following wonderful review:

I actually use these for my garbage.

They're much more durable than a standard garbage bag and they can hold a LOT more garbage. They also have nice handles which makes it easier when you're hauling it out to the front curb.

Bonus feature: After about a month of using these, my neighbors stopped bitching about the length of my grass.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

Someone else noted that it had "The worst return policy ever."

2303728 Well yes. The only way you can return that is a three movie length walk into Mordor, climb a volcano, fight off a crazy stalker, and have to sacrifice a finger to drop into the fire from which it was spawned. Not worth the trouble of returning it.

Well, I guess customer satisfaction was high for that product.

Also, did Amazon say that people also bought a therapist with that ring?

One might be forgiven for thinking so, but that did not seem to be the case. It had pretty mixed reviews really; some folks couldn't imagine living without it, but others were less than fond of it and had concerns about customer service. None mentioned therapists at all, though judging by some of the review, I'm sure several buyers could have gotten some good use out of one.

Strangely, the list of also-viewed items was mostly made up of rings... as well as 55 gallons of lubricant. Some of the reviews DID mention that the ring sometimes seemed a bit clingy and was difficult to get off, but I think that's just overkill.

And forget about getting directions. Even Google Maps just tells you to "use caution."

I'M GETTING IT
I'M GETTING MEIN PRECIOUS

One of the librarians at my local library has one like it that's made of silver.
