Argh. Now that I've gone and published the first chapter of the thing, I realize that the entire first section of "Traitor" still reads like it's trying to be a quick plot synopsis, which is where I was going with it originally before I realized that doing so was making it dry and unreadable. So now I need to expand the first chapter, as if it isn't annoying enough that this was supposed to be a 3,000 word prologue to "No Escape From Yourself" and it is turning into a 18,000 word story (and probably up to 20K once I add those expansions.) Why why why does my brain have so many words in it?
Well, 15K of the thing is actually done and in the can, so at the very least this can go down in history as the first incomplete chaptered fic I did on Fimfiction that I did actually finish. :-)
Personally, I think the chapter's fine as is. Still, your story, your call.
