I just finished a one-shot.
The thing it? It's a Optimal verse short. One of the most controversial shared universes on this site...
And the whole story deals with religion.
Needless to say, with that recipe I'm sure won't cause any waves, I want a lot of feedback before posting. Because if this thing fails and costs me readers I want it to be on its own merits and not my piss-poor spelling, damn it.
The whole thing is clocks in at just short of 7.5 K words plus a small foreword, contains only OCs (plus public-domain characters) and is supposed to have a Teen rating when done.
The tags are: [Dark], [Human], [Comedy], [Adventure] and [Alternative universe].
Just leave me a comment here or send me a PM if you're interested. Just let me know if you wish to remain anonymous or not, given how controversial this one might be.
Sounds interesting, and I can at the very least leave feedback on spelling and grammar. It would be my first time editing something someone else had written, but I'm game.

I'd like to note that I'm always freaked the fuck out by the Optimalverse, and with the exception of Caellum Est Torrens, I much prefer the Conversion Bureau (whose concept I detest with a passion, but the stories that are written for it seem to be almost consistently good).

Very nice. A couple of nitpicks, a couple of grammar/spelling errors, but decent mechanically. I'm not so sure about a couple things, but I left comments in the Doc (under Billy). I'd say that I look forward to it coming out, but... uh... yeah.

It's a rather massive spoiler if you actually know the tech-term, but I thought it was a cute little wink at the audience.
It means 'Dead On Arrival.' When a gizmo or whatever comes straight out of the box, but for some reason is still dead.
