Not sure how accurate the self-defense is in that pic, but I haven't heard anything about it being outright wrong either. Just for the record.

Not sure about Step 3. A head-butt, particularly using the top of the skull, can hurt like hell and might disorient you long enough to be attacked. I would suggest using a rising elbow. The elbows and knees are humans built in clubs.

2146172 The other thing with pepperspray is that it doesn't wear off. The only way to fix the shit is to wash it out, though your tear ducts will try to do that as well. That's why even when it's somewhat diluted and hurts less, you're still running blind.

Oh, I know that, but what puzzled me for so long was that a product with such harmful side-effects as early pepper-spray actually got put into circulation.

2146323 No it's not. You spend enough time as one, especially in a major city, and you're probably going to become familiar with death. My father had a friend who'd been one for nearly thirty years and the guy said he was so fortunate to have to deal with a murder within the first month. Had to cut open the woman's head to pull out a bullet himself due to how things worked way back then.
