Thank you for your thoughts and opinions, everypony. I thank each and every one of you for speaking your minds and desires, and on what you think should and shouldn't be done.
On the poll, the options for keeping Artemis and Prince Noctis are neck-in-neck. But the words of encouragement on here have more-or-less convinced me to keep the name of Artemis for the time being.
In other news, Silver Bell has sprung to the front of the pack, and that may very well be what I go with in place of Sweepy. Other names have popped up in the comments, like Sweetie Beau, and one a friend suggested, 'Sugar Beat'. I'm tempted to make a new poll now with these new options, and let them loose. What do you all think?

Artemis is good. You should definitely keep it. On the other hand, Sweepy Belle is fine, but Sugar Beat sounds awesome, so that'd get my vote.

So what's the verdict on alternate Nightmare Moon's name? Again, if you keep "Artemis", I really think that you should change "Anarchy Apollo" ("Darkhorse Knight" is still the best idea I've heard). I just think there are too many people out there who will see "Apollo" and "Artemis" used in close association, immediately think of the Greek brother-and-sister gods, and then think "Hey, Artemis was a female name!" to boot. (To clarify, even though several commenters have rightly stated that "Artemis" can be a male name as well, I think there'd still be a lot more people making that complaint who you'd have to remind of that fact, if you kept the Artemis/Apollo association.)
I have to say, "Sweetie Beau" is the best alternative to "Sweepy Bell" I've heard so far (and my opinion had been to stick with "Sweepy Bell" over any of the alternatives suggested previously). "Sugar Beat" sounds too much like a vegetable to me,
and personally, I think you should save a name containing "Silver" for Silver Spoon's male equivalent.
Speaking of alternate Silver Spoon's name, how about "Silver Platter"? Not only does it sound similar, but it comes from an idiom that can be used to mean almost the same thing as "born with a silver spoon in one's mouth".
I was also going to suggest "Diamond Crown" for alternate Diamond Tiara, but having rechecked the last "On a Whisper of Wind" preview, it looks like that may have actually been what you already had in mind.

I like Artemis.Think about it. If everybrony didn't know Artemis was used for a female goddess, then this poll might actually be about Sweepy Belle,or whatever else you call him.

Im glad artemis is staying. There was nothing wrong with that name. It was kinda perfect for the character.
Also I think Sweetie Beau works the best for sweepy. Beau is basically a male version of the belle.
I still think Sweepy is the best, only because I get an image of a chimney-sweep Sweetie Belle, and it's hilarious. Also I'm used to it, but mostly the chimney-sweep.
I've never seen any particular problem with Artemis, though I suppose that the fact that it is often a feminine name could have been one of the triggers that drove him into the Nightmare in the first place. Keep Artemis. In Greek and Roman Mythology Artemis/Dian was a tomboy and hated males.
Silver Bell sounds nice.
I'm fine with Artemis. If Sailor Moon could pull off a guy named after a goddess, so can you.
As for male Sweetie, I have no problem with Sweepy, but I can't deny that Silver Belle sounds best out of the options presented.

On the subject of another poll, YES. Now that you gave me the idea of changing Sweepy's name, I'm starting to not suffer it anymore. Somebody mentioned "Candy Chime", which I thought was might fine, although it does sound to me a little... ambigous, if you will. Then again, he is Elusive's lil' bro, so ambiguity is kinda part of the package...
Artemis sounds fine, it's good to keep. I like Silver Bell over anything else, personally.

Sweetie Beau is perfect! Simply change the French word for beautiful from its feminine form of "Belle" into its masculine form of "Beau" =]
I would gladly welcome a second poll with some of the new suggestions.
What about "Prince Artemius"?
It is the same, but it is clearly a male name. I believe it solves the current problem.
