So yeah, What Bound Them hasn't updated in a while. Sorry about that!
It's been for... well, not a very good reason, but a reason, anyway. Basically, it's because the upcoming chapter is a doozy. What "Aces High" was to the first arc, the upcoming chapter is to this one. And it had one of two ways that it could play out, both of which would send the rest of the story down very different paths (as a hint for those who are wondering, both paths revolve around Discord, though very likely not in the way you think).
I've been a bit paralyzed by indecision regarding which of the two paths to take until quite recently, when I finally broke down and simply asked someone who is both a fan of the story and someone that I trust to give me good advice on literary matters which way they felt would be more appropriate. I have my answer, which means that the story is moving forward once again. Updates should resume within three days at the latest.
Sorry to all of you who have been waiting for this long, and cheers to those of you who have actually bothered to stick around. You're the reason I want to finish this story; left to my own devices, I would scrap it and start from the beginning (or somewhere close to it, at least; everything up to "Aces High" would probably remain untouched), but I'm determined to get you guys some sense of closure before major edits start, at least.
On the subject of other possible stories, in addition to the ones I listed last time, I have two others kicking around in various stages of completion. "Tartarus", which is basically me trying to be H. P. Lovecraft, may or may not be published within the next few days. By the same token, you may or may not be seeing a Doctor Whooves adventure beginning soon.
