"Huzzah!" Green Akers raised him arms in triumph. "Chapter 18 of MKE is finally done, and it's nowhere near as late as I thought it would be!"
The writer rose from his seat and half-walked, half-danced his way out of his room, down the hall, down the stairs, and into the kitchen to grab a celebratory refreshment from the refrigerator. Upon opening the fridge, however, he spied a six-pack of Budweiser that someone had left sitting on the bottom shelf. He briefly debated upgrading his celebration to a real party, but decided that he could never drink a beverage that had the audacity to sponsor Kevin Harvick, and grabbed an Orangina instead.
As he took his first sip from the bottle, he began plotting the next move in his plan for increased Fimfiction readership/world domination. "Time to go back to Grounded!" he declared. "Let's see, when we last left our intrepid hero, he was—"
Suddenly a thought struck him: Wait a minute. Didn't I finish that story? The answer eluded him at first, but then again, so did the name of the cereal he had eaten for lunch.
Akers ran back to his computer, certain that the almighty Google had the answers he sought. A couple of keystrokes and a few clicks later, he found himself staring at the Grounded front page, unsure he believed what he what seeing.
"It's complete? Really? Is that even possible?" he asked the plastic Fluttershy sitting next to his monitor.
Fluttershy didn't reply. She didn't have to. The cold, hard truth was right there for all the world to see: Grounded was finished, so much so that it even had a proper epilogue.
Akers broke out in a cold sweat as he stared at his computer. He'd been splitting time between Grounded and MKE for as long as he could remember (which was about fifteen minutes). If Grounded was really finished...what was he supposed to do now?
TL;DR version: I have no idea what to work on next. I've already got a vague idea of what Chapter 19 of MKE will look like, but I've also got some intriguing new story ideas rattling around in my head.
What do y'all think? Which should I do first?
