Ten Things I Think I Think

With apologies to Peter King, here are ten things I think I think:

1. I think there is a severe lack of Splatoon/MLP crossovers on this site. This needs to be remedied ASAP, or I will be forced to write one myself.

2. I think my 2015 has not been as bad as I made it out in my previous blog post. As proof, I submit the goals I laid out in my 3-year anniversary post:

-6000 total story views by this time next year!
-At least two—no, three new stories! (I mentioned a few ideas in my previous blog post.)
-Since I'm feeling ambitious today...I shall get another story posted on EQD!
-The hardest one of all: Break free from verbosity, and write a complete story in under 3,000 words!

Now, consider their status halfway through the year:
-Three New Stories: Check! (Fleximare, She Got Game, SGTR)
-EQD: Check! (SGTR was part of the Cutie Map Writer's Training Ground)
-Sub-3K Word Story: Check! (She Got Game, since this was a requirement of the EFNW Pre-Con Contest)
-6000 views: I'm a shade under 5700 with six months to go. The Check probability is high!

3. I think I have some more words to eat from my previous post:

...[Starlight Glimmer, Tomb Raider] reads like the rest of my stuff. That's not to say it's a bad story; it's just that I'm not expecting a whole lot out of it.

Fast forward to today, and SGTR is the most popular story I've written in a long time. Observe:
-Fleximare and the Deranged Doctor has been released for 132 days, and has 61 views.
-She Got Game: 88 days, 94 views.
-Three Days In The Cooler: 305 days, 144 views.
-Starlight Glimmer, Tomb Raider, in just 33 days, has 146 views.

It may not be much, but it's progress all the same!

4. I think MLPSolarDash's request for a SGTR sequel intrigues me. Honestly, I'm curious to see what happens when Starlight gets to Whinnypeg (and also curious to see how flat Daring Do squashes Miss Equal Pony when they next meet). It's not in the immediate plans right now, but we'll see...

5. I think the start of Story XI, a.k.a. An Angel From Above, will be posted very soon! The story took a more-serious turn than I thought it would, and it's been re-branded as an AU adventure (the AU is for Angel's bizarre backstory). It's kind of an experimental tale, so any feedback would be welcome!

6. I think I owe Lance Skyes a huge thank-you for pre-reading AAFA!

7. I think Story #12 (I'm tired of Roman numerals already) has a high chance of being a crossover. I've got some Mario, Pokemon, and Splatoon ideas that are pushing to see the light of day.

8. I think I'm creeped out by this picture's caption:

Luke Bryan fanfiction? Is that really a thing? DO NOT WANT.

9. I think everyone needs to watch this video:

He sings, he writes, he plays guitar, and now he animates?! BASK IN THE GLORY OF THE ALMIGHTY PAISLEY.

10. I think I'm voting for Brad Paisley in the 2016 election. I mean, he can't be any worse (or have any less credibility) than Donald Trump...
