If you live under a rock and haven't heard of Those Blue Wings you should click and read. Yes, it is AppleDash; yes, Twilight screws up a spell (in a not-incompetent way); yes, Dash loses her wings; and yes, semicolons can be used as super commas on lists of things containing commas, but you should read it anyway. It's very close to being done (like, just the wrapup/epilogue). Start now and then bug Tcher about it when you finish.

Yep. I've been following TBW since the start with mixed levels of apprehension. (AppleDash is is the only mane 6 pairing I tend to dislike due to contrivance and OOCness in how it's written.)
TBW is very unique in that nearly every plot point is a well known cliche or trope, yet where many authors fail by letting the trope act as the foundation of the story whether it makes sense or not, Tchernobog shores up his tropes with logic, common sense and great characterization, using them as they were intended.
Also if the bath scene doesn't make you squee you're not breathing.

I loath reader insert. "You reach out and caress Pinkie" is about the only phrase that has ever made me wish to slap a pony.
If you make it CYOA or at least cast the reader into a role (you are Trixie) then it becomes marginally more readable.
But the bog standard 2nd person that pervades this fandom is cancer.
116178 I'm trying to make this fic better then good. I'm getting a lot of messages like yours as well. It's still possible to make a decent 2nd person story though. It's not impossible. There's a quote I like living by.
"Wether it's impossible or laughable...Great men open up paths of battle! If there's a wall, we break it down! If there's no path, we make one with these hands! The heart's magma burns with flames!"
That's what being a man is all about! We break down these obstacles that life throws at us and remain tenacious!! Either that or I've been watching too much Gurren Lagann.
But really though I'll take what you said as advice and learn from it and maybe even grow. We got to have some role models in our lives amirite?
