So, I've been reading Zamairacs story lately. And the stories that engulfed me the most were his Cadence x Human stories. Sadly enough, he only has 3 stories featuring this relationship, and that made me sad. However, it made me think, so here's the question.
Should I, or should I not, make a Cadence x Human story? I'm really in need of your opinion, this couple is a rarity and I'm not sure if you guys would like me to do it or not. Ofcourse a story like this will need a LOT more depth then any of my other stories, and will require chapters 5-6 times the size I normally do them, but I'm willing to do it if you guys want me to do it.
Another reason I'm bringing this up is that Royal Affection is coming to its end. The next chapter will be the ending, followed up immediately (As in, posted on the same day) with another chapter, being the alternate ending. And maybe even an epilogue for both, if I'm in the mood for it. The alternate ending is basically done, I have yet to start with the real ending.
But we're getting off topic here, let me know what you guys think of it.

Interesting suggestion... Very interesting indeed, I'll maybe toy with the female human concept, but I have no experience at all writing from a female's perspective, I'd have to read some other fics of the same sort first to be able to write something close to decent with this concept.
The lack of experience with this factor is the main reason I probably won't do this particular story in that fashion, maybe another one / another time.

Mostly, I'm going to try and Implement multiple POV's just for the fun of it. (Cadence's, that of the protagonist...Hell maybe even Shining armor

There are hardly any on this site -- I think it's because people are put off by the whole "Tru Wuv/Marriage" thing she has with Shining Armor.
I gotta be honest, though -- I wouldn't read it if it was a female human with Cadence. Just ain't my sort of thing, and there's enough of that 'Yuri' crap in the fandom already between the "Mane Six" (and Princess Celestia -- never Luna, though. Strange, eh?).

I like the concept of the Cadence x Human ship so long as it has a believable premise.
That is what stood out to me in Zamairac's story.
If you can create a similar introduction then go for it!
The emotion that you put into your heartwarming series would transfer wonderfully to a Cadence ship. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Yea, I'm pretty much convinced that the majority of the people that read my stories simply want it the old fashioned way M/F. (Luckily, because as I stated before, I wouldn't even know where to begin if I'd have to make it F/F

Indeed, Second person for the protagonist build up, introduction etc. But also, First person for Cadence. I don't see where to Imply third person, so that probably won't happen.
If it becomes more than I can chew (Simply to much switching) Than I'll ask my readers how to go on, full first person Cadence, or full second person You. But I don't think that 'll happen. I think I'll manage

It's all because of Shining Armor, because he and Cadence look like the perfect couple. Here on fimfic, people apparently see it as taboe to make a fanfic in which she is not coupled with her 'beloved' Simply because it was meant to be. That's the main reason I think.
But there is another, and I'm going to face it aswell. The mere fact that she is in a relationship with Shining Armor makes it all more difficult. A writer has to keep in mind that the bonding has to go steady and you have to make sure Shining armor slowly dissapears out of the picture, you have to break the bond between him and Cadence. This is hard to do, especially in an original way. This frightens off the writers, and demotivates them to write such a fic. Zamairac took the relatively easy way by taking the protagonist back into the past, thus bypassing the Shining Armor problem. I however, can't take that path. It is already taken.
And the last reason ofcourse, the sheer amount of work that goes into making such a fic. As stated previously, you need to remove their bond slowly, this takes time, lots n lots of time, thus lots n lots of writing. It isn't an easy fic to write, and you can't go straight to the romance either.
But if you are able to accomplish making such a fic, it turns out extremely good.
Honestly, I've never even realized how well Cadence shipping can work out if executed correctly, simply because no one does it.

I'm on board, this ship can be difficult to write for obvious reasons. But from the few HumanXCadence stories I read, of which I enjoyed reading, It is entirely possible to pull off. I'd like to see how you'd pull it off, I wish you the best of luck If you do decide to write it.

It would be a good story, but the problem for me is the fact that cadence is already with shining. In my opinion, i kinda have a tough time with the fact of someone cheating on someone. Like cadence cheating on shining will probably involve Anon dying from shinning. Thats what i see happening.
If you have forgotten them, can you reconsider doing them? it would mean alot
P.S: I dont mean to be rude or distract you from your work, but what happened to the stories with octavia, luna, and spitfire? I remeber a vote was taken to see witch one you would do first, but you never did any of them, or the second part to every one shot story you have, i saw the Rainbow Dash one and it was awesome, but i really wanted to see the other ones.

) getting stuck in the frozen on the verge of a frosty ending, but saved by a guard outside of the empire... (I kinda like the more drama stories however

I would definitely read a Cadence X Human story, but I'm interested in how you would bring the human into the relationship since Cadence is already married. I don't think that the embodiment of love would cheat on her husband, and Twilight would go crazy on anyone who wronged her brother. Although, it would be kind of interesting to see Twilight's reaction to the human with Cadence after Shining already married her. It would make for a very entertaining story if Twilight was the (sorta kinda) enemy of the main character.
1791137 If you want suggestions and originality may I offer a crazy suggestion? A thee-way relationship with Shining, Cadance, and a Human is something I haven't seen yet so if you can pull it off well then you will have something quite unique. I could be wrong though, perhaps I haven't seen it yet because it's a bad idea and I should feel bad for throwing it out there but I'm sure whatever you do will be awesome. I just like the three-way idea because Cadence doesn't have to cheat on/break-up with/outlive Shining in this scenario.
