Dear FimFiction,
I'm not quite sure what to think about the MLP:FIM comic series. I have been curious of them since I first saw them with Queen Chrysalis's return, but I must admit, I have seen some strangely cool and weird things in them. Mostly, things I kinda want to incorporate into my stories.
Firstly, Nightmare Rarity:
I'm not entirely sure just how hard my mind blew when I saw this, but there are still some splatters on the wall I can't seem to remove. Best Pony + Best Villain. I totally want to use this in one of my stories.
Second, Big Macintosh and a Wonderbolt named Fleetfoot.
Well, so much for Cheerimac and Fluttermac. Wait... what am I saying? She practically stalked him the whole comic, so Cheerimac can still happen! Also, note the crying Fluttershy (yes!), Twilight (poor fandom), Pinkie Pie (sad face) and Princess Celestia (what?!). Obviously the comic writers know who their fanbase is, so they are currently aware of some of Big Mac's most common ships.
So, these are a few things I may want to incorporate into my stories. What do you all think?

There is a slight problem with your claim of Nightmare Rarity being "Best pony + Best villain".
You see, Twilight already is best pony. Nightmare Rarity can be Best villain though. Until Twilight becomes a villain too. Then you can't have that either
I've never read the comics before.
I now see where Nightmare Rarity comes from, I thought it had just been a fan thing. I've scarcely heard of Fleetfoot. (Weird how it's not "hoof")
But it would be interesting to see them.

I'm just wondering if there are any other (good, like these) comics that involve Spike and other "non-Mane Six" characters, like maybe a comic in Sombra or something as the main characters.
Especially Spike.
Some of the comic things *need* to become canon. Luna's pet possum, Tiberius. Big Mac's ability to attract mares. Goops. Oh, yes, Goops. Shining Armor and Cadence's Academy years.
Buy the trade paperbacks. Buy them all.
Also in the Big Mac comics don't forget about his other two stalkers Sweetcream Scoops and that British mare, or how Luna seemed to latch onto him.

Plus her issue was hilarious as well.
But ya those comics are fantastic and get away with a lot more than the show

I saw the preview for the one where she took over Celestia's duties for a day. I so badly want to read that one, but Luna and Big Mac would pretty much be the same as Celestia and Big Mac, just with more shouting.
I won't deny that was a cute moment, though. Nor was the hysterical moment of Big Mac hoofwrestling Celestia.

The comics are awesome. The Celestia and Luna Micros are amazing, and the two parter of Cadance and Shining Armor was my favorite. It's soo good.
Nightmarity in your stories? go for it.

She actually shows up on the screen for 3/4 of the show where's Luna? We have seen her oh... 5 times after the Mare-Do-Well episode. And no more than for a few moments. She SAVED both Luna and Celestia while they were imprisoned in Discord's magic plants. You know normal stuff that we never see Luna doing, mostly just taking action AND thinking it over.
HOWEVER! Luna is second best princess because she is, while not as tedious as her elder sister, very smart. She uses her knowledge well but at the same time, like Twi' she has some common sense, which in my opinion is what Celestia lacks. BUT at the same time her not appearing to NOT ONLY her niece's wedding but also somehow missing an entire invasion.
This however is my mind's opinion on the subject, me, myself, and I have very different opinions.

Myself likes Celestia simply for her almost chess like way of positioning things how she wants, purposefully dragging things out,

That's the thing though, that's stuff twilight does normally. what kind of princess things does she do? I can see someone claiming Twilight as best pony because of this stuff. But she's one of the elements of harmony, and Princes Sunnybutt's personal student/plaything. She already has a certain amount responsibility towards Equestria and does almost everything Sunbutt tells her to do. Turning into a princess didn't really change anything for her. BUT, I will admit that Luna could be a bit better at her job.
Although if I were an alicorn I'd hate to deal with the politics, probably constant harassment by the nobles, the manipulation of some huge driving force/celestial body, organizing and learning of any new laws, and having to listen to the blabbering of the snobs of Canterlot, always trying to improve their image. I'd probably try to find a way to leave Canterlot after a while. In this matter I have only pity for the royal sisters. especially Luna, becose she was just thrown back into the swing of things, while Celestia has had a thousand years to adjust to the horrors of modern Equesria. Probably why she's such a troll, she could be close to snapping from stress.
