Hey there everybrony, InfiniteBrony here. You know, that one guy with a popular story who's update rate is slower than the average lifespan of a small rodent. As you all should probably know by now, my story The Guardian (K)Night is currently on hiatus for review and rewrites. However, it seems I've hit a little snag lately.
No-one wants to review me. All the reviewers I've found thus far don't do anything more than quick one-shot or want from me enough greenbacks to choke a humpback whale. So I've come up with a creative solution. At the time of writing, The Guardian (K)Night as 1738 favorites. Now I know that most people on this site are just here to read, and don't do anything else really, but I know that such isn't a universal thing. For the sake of argument, lets say that just 1% of users on this site also review, instead of just reading. With that math, there are almost 20 or so full fledged reviewers whom have already shown enough interest to favorite my story. This announcement is for them.
If you or someone you know reviews stories, AND REVIEWS THEM WELL, please, PLEASE, contact me. If you want some sort of compensation, be forewarned, I haz no $$$, so I'd probably not be able to do much more than a commissioned story.

Well, that sucks. I haven't started reading the story in question past the second chapter, but I'm already enjoying it...I'm not much of a reviewer, but if I see anything that sticks out, I'll let you know.

I know someone who's a pretty good reviewer. I'll see if he's up for it. If not , i could do it. Im not a terrible reviewer myself

One thing you might want to remember, along with that one percent of reviewers, there's a good five percent who review at an amateur level or even less so. I'm probably one of that five percent. None the less, I would be willing to offer an opinion as an avid reader and proto-reviewer.
I WOULD help, but.. I find your Fic to be Mostly flawless, i have the tendancy to overlook even glaring flaws to enjoy something....
I mean, i honestly enjoyed Catwoman.
If you need help with a Specific Part, a Concept, noodling a important story idea in, and any of that, i am, however, apparently decent in Idea's, and making author's feel better about themselves.
I don't EVEN know what Cutiemark would be for a Talent like that.
I'd love to go back re-read this story on a more editorial level, but I can't and wont promise that I'll be any kind of accurate at finding mistakes or timely with reviews on top of work and college. I don't mean this "yeah, but" comment as an excuse either. Your story's getting bumped up to the top of the free time cue.
I even went back and made sure to use the appropriate 'you're', and cut out a run-on as a representation my amateur editorial skills.
Define “review."
Well, I'm sort of confused by reviewer, but I take from context you mean something like pre-reader or editor.
Now, I can't recommend any of the readers/editors I know because their schedules are completely slammed with all the fics coming out since, y'know, it's that time of year.
I can offer my own services for pre-reading/editing, however I will state that I have no experience 'professionally' and I wouldn't ask for payment as that seems sort of ridiculous. I'll wish you luck regardless with finding reviewers.
I have a lot on my plate at the moment. I have several stories I'm currently writing, one of which I have people breathing down my neck to get me to update on. Not to mention the fact that people have asked me to be a reviewer/prereader/editor of other stories in the past and... I've let people down before.
All that said... if your shot in the dark doesn't work and nobody else offers their services, go ahead and PM me. I genuinely love your story and want it to succeed, so maybe I can be of some help for once.

What kinds of reviews do you want? I'm willing to help you out. If it's editing you need, take a look at my oneshot story. I wrote and edited that one myself, so that should be a mark of quality, right? Just point me where you think you need the review, and I'd be glad to do so.
Never tried reviewing a story. What exactly do you mean by "reviewing"? I normally see authors asking for editors or proofreaders.

You all seem to be rather confused as to what I mean when I said "Review". I meant exactly that. I need an experienced reviewer (read: literary critic) to look over my entire story and go at it with a hatchet. I need to bring this thing up to at least EQD standards and nobody on /mlp/ or ponychan will take the job.

I suspected it was something to do with a confusion of terms.
What would be the deadline for the review?
Well, I'm an experienced reviewer and critic, and I have managed to sneak a story onto EQD somehow. I also happen to like the story.
But taking on a reviewer in the middle of a story is a tough challenge and a ton of work. I would be willing to help, but I would need to know that you intend to see this story through. Like you said, this updates once in a blue moon -- and Luna's been feeling rather chipper lately.

I have no official deadline, but the sooner the better of course. The quicker I can get some reviews, the quicker I can finish the touch-ups and rewrites, and get back to updating. And I think that's something we can all look forward to.
