What choice do I have flashbacks · 4:21am Dec 9th, 2013
For all those following my story what choice do I have, you may have noticed that I was planning on adding flashback chapters to it.
Now the next chapters I am working on are going to be continuing the main story, I had a question for you.
Would you rather have the flashback chapters stay in the main story or would you prefer that I actually publish them all in a separate story? I can link the new fic in a future chapter if you want that instead
I'm a little behind in this story, but I'll give you some advice. My friend GV told me that flashbacks break the flow of the story. However, my way around that is too start the flash back at the begging. If that won't work, then do what you have to do. I personally don't like setting limits as too how a story should or should not be told. You get too many stories that are the same that way.
Put it in the main story or I will forget to read it.
I think a side-along FIC would work well. One that works in parallel with the main story, for the curious, but non-essential overall.
I prefer main story.
I prefer separate story, with a link in main story to it.
I'd prefer a side story.
Mane story get it mane as in
terrable joke
How important are those Flashbacks?
Only you know how much they affect the rest of the story, how much they add to it, how much is lost if someone doesn't read them.
If they are not important enough for you, the writer, to put them in your story, then side story is ok, but I doubt I'll read them because it doesn't sound they can make a self contained side story.
If the flashbacks will truly show events key to the story then include them in the main story.
If the events are than the main story otherwise I'm certain we'll be trying to find answers for things that you had in a side story.
i would prefer to have them separate (like at the end of the story or put an 'optional' tab on the chapter names, or just have a separate story with them altogether) i prefer to find out what twilight will do next rather than what happened before
