Dear readers,
My laptop died.
That's... that's about it I guess. Motherboard just up and broke for no reason, so I can't even turn the thing on. Data's there, but with the prices they charge for recovery, I just can't afford it.
That means I've just lost oh, I don't know... probably 40+ hours worth of writing. It's gone. Vanished. Kaput.
*le sigh*
I'll be working to replace the materials, but right now, I believe Apple Bloom says it all.

Well... shit. Just so that you are aware, you can get cables that make an internal hard drive external, so if you have access to another computer and the right ones, you can still get to your data.

1422479 That's why I started using Gdocs. My laptop died halfway through one of my stories, so I had to use my tablet. Both of them have Gdocs/Gdrive, so I can work on my stuff from either one.
That, and it's much easier to share with pre-readers and editors.

Same, my editors refused to help unless I started using it. Best decision I've made regarding writing.

I feel for you dude, has happened to me before.
You could put the old hard drive into a new computer. No data lost.
