4,000 Steps Toward Infinity

The latest bits of Piefall this morning--looks like all 8,000 or so words of Act I, "Live and Let Pie," will be ready for release on schedule sometime tomorrow--I happened to notice a nice round number along the sidebar of my home page: An Infinite Number of Pinkies, my story from last summer, seems to have hit 4,000 views, my most viewed story on the site, a quick perusal tells me.

And I'm completely OK with that, I find. I mean, the couple of times I've seen my pseudonym mentioned on this vast wonderland we call "the web," it's usually in reference to Half the Day is Night or "In Their Highnesses' Clandestine Corps." But it's that crafty ol' Pinkie who's gone sneaking past 'em all when it comes to actual eyeball action.

Still, back to work for me: I've got a deadline coming up Saturday, don't I?

I'm not actually surprised. AINoP is a very fun story and the various alt-worlds are intriguing, but beyond that it's got a lot more heart and soul than one might think at the first glance.
