Bronycon · 12:52am Jul 9th, 2013
So, I'm going to be ruining everyone's convention by being at Bronycon. Mainly going to see what all the hubbub is about and (hopefully) meet some people I know (though in spite of having nearly 800 followers, hardly anyone seems to know I exist. Odd). I'll also be taking part in a panel there, but I'm not sure if I'm the kind of guy you want to see about structuring stories. However, I can ramble, so that's something. I guess.
Anyway, I'll unfortunately be going alone since I'm pretty much the only brony in South Carolina. Now, getting there should not be an issue, and I already have tickets bought. The problem comes with finding a room. My wallet ain't exactly bursting at its seams, and tossing out a hundred bucks for a room I'll be staying in all by lonesome for two nights seems like a bit of a waste. Besides, I'm not going to Bronycon to be the introverted sonuvabitch I am in this cesspool I call a hometown (okay, my hometown's not that bad, but that's beside the point). I actually want to meet people. I want to interact. I want to get absolutely wasted with someone and walk through downtown Baltimore leaning on their shoulder while singing "Tiny Dancer."
Okay maybe not that last part totally that last part.
So, what I'm asking is: if anybody's going, would they be willing to split a room with me? Definitely gonna throw my own money in since this is more a matter of me simply not wanting to be alone. If you're not, do you know someone who is who is who has the extra space or whatever? I promise, I'm not actually that much of an asshole, and I shower regularly.
Ugh, it's times like these that I wished I actually knew people within the writing community.
So yeah, pms and comments if you're going or interesting in sharing a room or something. Considering how many views my average blog gets nowadays, this is probably just a lost cause.
(on an unrelated note: New chapter of Reconstruction should be up sometime tomorrow)
Do you mean $100 total for the whole con is too much? Or do you mean more "$100 a night will be too much"?
I have space. though you might be better off looking elsewhere if you've got your heart set on gettin' wasted because I won't be doing any of that (I am a sober, hardworkin' pony)
One thing about it, though, I guarantee you won't be homeless: I will be able to provide shelter for my writin' staff

100 a night. 100 for the whole con is no problem.
Heh, I think I can turn off my inner Hemingway for a few days if need be.
*sighs* I really wish you had said this back last January when I actually had the money to go...
God damn it, now I wish I was going to bronycon ! I wouldn't mind sharing a room with another person, specially if it lightened my wallet. Oh well, maybe some other time.
...You sexy, sexy man.
And the south shall ride once more.
:c
I'm sorry I can't go an' split a room with you, Razed... you know I'd wanna. :c
I'm not even going and my convention has been ruined.
Good luck finding a roommate! I hope you have some fun out in Baltimore!

Bro, do you even The Wire?
1197378 >implying that won't be the reason you have fun.
Do you even high crime neighborhoods with cars full of drugs, hookers and weapons?
1197384
Well, I'm a third of the way to Omar (just need to become black and develop immeasurable badassness)
1197395 good luck. That'll be the hardest part for sure. So, when I get more stumpity?
1197434
Tomorrow sometime.
1197441 yay. Most yay indeed.
If you want to sleep with me that badly, you could just ask. Though, now that I've found out that you're going, I don't think I'll go to Bronycon anyhow.
That, and it's just way too far away. I'll be sticking to BronyCan.
I may possibly have space. If you have a skype, you can talk with my group and me.
Myself and Tayman shall be attending, and certainly have space for another illustrious author of ponestories. I shall send you details in a message proper for consideration.
Now I wish even harder that I was going.
I live in D.C. I might know some places that you'd want to
