Okay, I don't know enough mutant gang lingo to keep that going through the whole blog. But damnit, man, I tried!

So as y'all know, I recently published my personal self-indulgent trash bin for the lot of you guys to read. If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, either you've successfully repressed the horrific memory of said compendium, or you just so happen to also have your mature content filter on. Not my call, folks. I Don'd it out as best as I could with the fic approvers, but it was Mature or no-go. They rejected my generous proposal. The Don is not pleased.

That being said, I have been keeping myself busy in the meantime. For one, I've undertaken a challenge called "pone-a-day". As I've mentioned before, and if the newly added album module on my page is of any indication, I've taken it upon myself to be able to at least draw myself out of a paper bag. Plastic ones are a different matter. In order to do this, I've been drawing at least one pony every day for people in the EqD Skype upon request. And overall, I do feel like I'm undergoing some sort of improvement. All these doodles and more can now also be found on my tumblr. That's right, I have one of those. Had one for a while now. I won't really be posting anything fic related aside from maybe the odd cover art, and it's also safe for work. Might lean towards the questionable, but... Anyways, if you guys want to take a look at it because you like my doodles, go on ahead. And hey, maybe ask for a pone. I'm always looking for something to draw every day!

Okay, okay! Yeesh, I really need to envision you guys as less aggressive.

As said, I've been working, and working dilgently. My next project is well in the works, currently sitting at around 8k and maybe half done. Again, my plan for this is quite different. This fic is going to be completed on my end and slowly, gradually dripped into your ponyfic veins day by day in drops of around 1k to 3k words. So basically what we're talking about is a sort of a serial that'll complete a story arc without leaving you guys in indefinite suspense. Let's talk deadlines. At the rate I'm writing, and as a carrot-on-a-stick to keep me writing steadily, I'm going to be releasing this next fic in exactly one week. That's next Friday.

I could use quite a few words this upcoming project. But instead I won't use words. This next fic is basically something like this, with a sprinkle of this. And because you're all lovely people... have a teaser.

I was falling.
Not the normal kind of falling, where you trip down the stairs and you get back up groaning with aching bones and a painful lump on your flank. Not the physical falling. It was that strange sort of dream-like falling, where your legs are taking you wherever they really feel like, and everything that’s happening seems somehow just out of place but you can’t quite control it.
You’re not actually thinking. You’re just going through the motions and even the most insane things seem perfectly reasonable when you’re falling. And all you can do is hope that the madness vanishes when you wake up.
