I've been invited to a podcast

This blog is pretty easily summed up by the title. I've been invited to appear on a podcast, specifically The Barcast. They interview a variety of notable, or perhaps notorious, people from among the fandom and I'm their latest choice. I'd say they must be scraping the bottom of the barrel in that case, but I'm too flattered by the attention to say no. They are taking audience questions here (

I won a contest and new chapter on the horizon.

Hello, everyone. Sorry for the long silence, but I am still alive, believe it or not.

New DF: Extra Stuff and still doing things!

The title honestly says it all. I just published a new chapter of Dresden Fillies: Extra Stuff, which is the collection of odds and ends of Dresden/MLP crossover that doesn't quite fit into my main stories. In this case it's a story inspired by a reader comment 'What if Fluttershy picked up one of the Blackened Denarius?". My answer to that was so involved (over 13K words) that I considered

    I HAVE AWOKEN

The timetable for new chapters is questionable, but rest assured faithful readers that my hiatus is over and new chapters will be coming.

Not dead yet, but not writing either

So this is a blog post I should have done a while ago and I'm sorry for not saying something sooner. As it turns out, the final year of getting my doctorate is the most time-consuming thing I've ever done in my life. Between a full 40 hours a week fulfilling school requirements, having a part-time job on the side to continue living and maintaining the bare minimum of social interaction with

Seriously? Three hundred? · 3:16pm Mar 20th, 2012

I just realized today that I've got three hundred followers. Holy crap.

I really only write as a hobby, so it's a little hard to believe that so many people would actually like my work enough to watch me.

Just wanted to say thanks to all my fellow bronies. Without your all's enthusiasm I wouldn't have kept writing.

On another note, chapter two of False Masks should be out soon and I'm spending a little time on another one-shot I had bouncing around in my head.

If I eat your heart do I gain the powers of your creativity?

Because I want that, and I'm pretty sure it works that way.

Funny you should say that...

My friends call me 'the highlander' because I'm a descendant of the MacLeods. So if you're a fellow immortal I'm pretty sure the Quickening from my decapitation would include my creativity.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to sharpen my sword and prepare for your arrival.

Look at it this way: fanfics are already popular because the readers are already fans of the source material and characters. Well written and exciting fanfics are even more highly appreciated. So your popularity is hardly strange IMO.

That said it is impressive that you are this popular with crossover / HiE. Those genres are much more harshly judged than most others. THAT goes to show that you are quite a good writer indeed.

37725 nah, you eat hearts for bravery and strength. For creativity you need to eat brain. But don't do that! We don't want to lose such brilliant author, now do we? :pinkiecrazy:

I'm not sure why you're surprised at how many followers you have. You're a great and creative writer that completely deserves all this, if not more.

Looking forward to anything you write :)

yeah what everyone above said. its ponies plus Dresden, what not to like.

little known fact: the gull bladder is the organ that holds the body's creativity.

:rainbowhuh:

Do what?
I looked that up and I still don't see any connection to my comment.

37854 random WH40k ref is random ..anyways you got good stuff foo and you got me into the Dresden files so thanks

You are best pony! 5 `staches for you!:moustache::moustache::moustache::moustache::moustache:

Yeah. All the compliments go to you.

The secret to popular things: if you think something is going to be big it most likely won't, and if you thing something will never be popular it usually will (do you think the people who made mlpfim thought it would be popular among adults and teenagers?)

I chose to foolow you cause your story was interesting and well written apparently I was not the only one who thought so. Looking forward to more from you.

BY ODIN'S FUZZY BALLS, the fact that you got 300 followers does not suprise me at all, instead it was VERY expected. Being how UTTERLY AWSOME your fanfic is, plus Dresden is in it and I love stories that are in the first person. Please, keep on writting, your stuff is most interesting:twilightsmile:

ive got a quick question, i was wondering where you got the image for your Brony International Guard emblem. If you are the creator i wanted to know if i could copy it into a sort of sew on patch to put on my cammys once i get out of the navy here in a few months. If so, i can get one for you as well and send to you as a kinda payment for letting me use the image.

Afraid not. Which actually made me realize I didn't credit the image creator. :twilightsheepish: oops.
The creator's name is Megan Lara and here is where I found the image. http://meganlara.tumblr.com/post/12570811802/would-love-a-vote-comment-over-at

And now I need go back and actually credit her.

54779 thanks anyways.
