[April Fool's] A Personal Conclusion · 6:44pm Apr 1st, 2013
And I thought it would never come to this. Silly Mindblower, dreams are for kids.
The dream, specifically, that I'm referring to is Dissonance. I've out-, or rather un-done myself with the task. Heartbreaking, I suppose, but it's best not to dwell on it. My life takes precedence over my fiction, as you all should very well know by now or at least assume. Searching for a job, school clubs, and other activities I will have to participate in with the interest of getting into college are eating into my time far more than I'd like. What's more, I'm not even done with the planning stages of Didsonance! Ha! I have the option of blaming this on the Team, of course (they certainly aren't shortening the process), but the base issue, truly, is the idea. It's simply too big a burden for me to handle anymore.
Another issue I seem to be dealing with is a crisis of faith. The fandom is stagnating; we are running out of steam, abandoning our principles, squabbling. We have achieved so much in our short existence, and yet I see more and more frequently a regression back to G.I.F.T., something I've always considered us significantly above. I'm not going into detail my experiences as of late because I'm not here to do an autopsy, but I will state that I have never been affected as much by the Brony stigma as I do this day.
Thus, I am cancelling Dissonance, for my sanity as well as that of others. It's been a terrific ride, and I sincerely apologize that the vast majority of you will never see it. My future in the fandom is uncertain, but... I suppose I'll see you around.
