Personally, I believed its pacing was horribly weak, though if it had been extended (and yes, I know Meghan considers it to be a three-parter, with this finale being the first, but with what happened in the episode the pacing was absolutely atrocious) for another episode or two, it probably would've been much better.
Onto Alicorn Twilight, while I'm fine with her being a princess now, I don't like the curls in her mane during the coronation, or how tall she is compared to the rest of the Mane Six. The way her wings point just a little higher than the wings of a pegasus irritates me as well, though that's mostly a personal thing and doesn't actually affect anything.

I'm mostly working on my rewrite of my first fic, Books and Butterflies, and I have the first chapter of that done alongside a bit of the second. Once that's finished, I'll probably continue on that until the story's completion.

heck, up until recently I didn't ship Twilight with anypony. but some of the more prevalent Twipie fics have caused me to revise my position on the matter.
I personally liked the finale. Other than the terrible pacing, which you pointed out, I liked the songs very much. I'm glad that they didn't make her taller and more slender than everypony else, and the wing thing annoys me too, (I kept yelling at the screen at Twilight to "close her wings" when she first became an alicorn. Seriously, lol).
I can't really pick a favorite song, but I thing I liked the "True Friend" one. If it was separated into several episodes, it would have been a lot more enjoyable and epic, though I can't deny that I was smiling through the whole thing. I'm not even bothered by Twi becoming an alicorn anymore. Well, other than how her wings look.
I can't wait to see the new season, and I'm hoping they do well with scripting the episodes. Forever an MLP fan.
(Oh, and that scene with TwiShy was great. And when Flutters said "We all love you, Twilight!" I was imagining her saying "I" instead of "we."

I thought it was pretty good. No, really. It could have been slowed down a bit, yes, but I still enjoyed the ep and cannot wait to see what they will do with S4.

TwiShy is what got me into shipping in the first place, at least I think so. It might have been a Fluttershy x Derpy fic, if my memory serves me correctly. The only ships strictly between the Mane 6 that I don't like are FlutterDash and TwiDash, the rest I either like or I'm not sure how I feel about them yet.

my main ships are Rarishy and Applepie. Dash, I usually ship with either Spitfire, Derpy, or Rainbowshine. Twilight... it's pretty much Twipie all the way. I do like Twishy as well.

Both of those scenes were wonderful, especially the last one. And strangely enough, I imagined Fluttershy saying "I love you Twilight!" in a similar friend sort of situation last night, and I was glad Fluttershy was the one to say that out of all of them. Twilight did become taller than pretty much everypony, she's the same size as Shining Armor now, though she's not tall and skinny like Celestia, or to a lesser extent, Luna.

At least you've been able to get more writing done than I have...
The final was rushed, but it wasn't a bad episode, I liked it and is in my top 10. We had a lot of Derpy in the background, with the Doctor and Lyra, and Celestia had finally sang! One other thing I liked is the "return" of Pinkamena, first time since the season 1 that we see her. The songs were really good and I can't wait to see the Remix of What My Cutie Mark Is Telling Me.

Ah, I loved seeing Pinkie like that again! I think she looks better with her mane straight like that, and the way she acted during the song was great. I'm mostly looking forward to seeing remixes of I've Got To Find a Way, but all the songs were really good. TwiDash, as mentioned in an earlier comment here, is one of the ships I don't like, but that's fine.

It's probably rivaled as my favorite ship, with TwiShy. It may be the things they would put each other through, how their colors go together, the fact that they both remind me of different aspects of my personalities.. (Eh, all the characters are that way, but these two I relate to most.) Or all of that combined!
I'd recommend giving it a try, but you can like whatever you want. This is just how I feel about the ship, and you're entitled to your own opinion. Though, I know I read Twinkie any time I see one.

Like I said, the pace was rediculously fast, but everything else about the episode was amazing. All of the songs were easily the best of the season, the animation was amazing, it was really funny at times, and TwishyistotallycanonnowIdon'tcarewhatyousay.
But yeah, would've been better as two episodes, but according to one of the writers it's technecally part of a 3 parter that opens with the next season so... Yeah.

I like the episode and i not afraid to say that this is one of my favorites, now onto the alicorn Twilight business i was okay with it (and i still am) and that was no secret at all, my onlay concern was the last seconds. My favorite song was "A True, True Friend", and call me meanie if you want but i found funny when during that song Twilight and Fluttershy almost forgotten about Rainbow Dash.

i love the show but its been seeming to fade for awhile. That episode really made me feel like killing the new princess just to get her to stop singing.

You know, I was thinking on your comment about the style of her wings, and I got to looking around.
I think her wings are actually different, and not merely in the aesthetic sense. Think about the difference between a hawk's wing and an owl's. They are both superb devices for beating the lift/drag/gravity question, but they are very, very different. A hawk's wing is lean and sleek, built for speed, whereas an owl's has quite a bit of soft fluff over its surfaces, which muffle the sound of their flight.
Looking at Twilight's wings, and how similar in shape they are to Luna and Cadence, I am feeling that their wings are much like the owl's, whereas most pegasi have wings much like a hawk's. Celestia has unique wings, absolutely huge, so I'd compare hers to something like an albatross or possibly eagle, though Princess Cakebutt doesn't do enough flying for me to make a real judgement...

I just saw it and I loved it; had a smile on my face throughout (except the really sad bit at the middle). Loved the Twilight and Fluttershy bit most of all, and I didn't know Celestia can sing! Loved it, and I'm looking forward to seeing more with Twilight now she's a princess.
I particualry loved that dialogue where Twilight says, "Do I have to read any books on how to be a princess?"

I don't exactly know what I feel about the episode. I mean, I'm proud of her and happy that she's an alicorn, but at the same time, sad and kinda' pissed off that she is. I don't know what this feeling is, but it's strong enough that it's making my stomach queasy. It really is.
Intro music video was really wierd. So random.... What my Cutie Mark is Telling me is quite enjoyable though. Plot is good, but like you, I think it should have been set over two or three episodes. Third music video was amazing. Fourth was pretty good, and so was the fith, but this brings me to my next point. LIke I said, it's too fast. This many music videos in two episodes can work just fine, but here they feel like they're coming way too fast, so their momentum is reduced significantly. For instance, there was around one minute between music videos four and five. And then, the big one, the AliTwi. It felt tacked on to the end of the plot. I feel like the rest of the episode did not really lead up to such an event correctly. Also, about the future of the show, despite my beliefs that AliTwi would ruin the show, a friend of mine convinced me to give it a second chance before he went off and blackmailed me, and I think that if they handle it correctly (i.e. such a huge evil in the the Season 4 pilot that they need four alicorns AND Discord to stop it), it won't be so bad. Also, music video six was awful, and one reprise was even more awkward then the original.
