The Ciderfest Mane Story is Now Live! · 12:29am Nov 26th, 2023
I promised a storm, didn't I?
The main story (or "mane" story, as this punny fandom prefers) was my baby. I wrote over half of it, and edited the rest. I'll post a deep dive on it's production and design later, but for now, consider this post a hand guide on how to read it now that we've clogged up the new stories bar with 6 entries across 3 different fimfic accounts!
Start reading the story here! Once you're done, I recommend going through in the chronological order, which is:

If this is your first brush with the story, I recommend going through the chapters marked [CANON]. At every point in the con that we posted these stories, we checked a tally of points based on choices con guests made, interacting with choose-your-own-adventure stories on the con app, cosplayers acting as characters from the story, or events throughout the con, and posted a given version based on the totaled outcomes. The game was based around the premise that Fizzy Glitch, a con mascot, in a fit of despair and self-loathing, used a magical artifact called the Book of All Stories to make Equestria real, which resulted in several factions, lead by characters from the show, to form and fight over the pages of the book, since anything written on those pages becomes true. You had Twilight leading the Heroes, who wanted to restore Equestria as it was, Discord leading CHAOS, who wanted to use the book to change Equestria in ways that were, well... up to interpretation, and the Villains, who wanted to use the book to conquer Equestria and right themselves as the eternal victors. You may have noticed a funny pattern in which stories make the canon path, but, well, we'll get into that at a later date! Later on, by all means, see what could have been; What happens if Fizzy Glitch never reconciled with her friends? What happens if evil won? What happens if heroes had been in the lead on Saturday Night? I and the rest of the team had a lot of fun writing all that unused content, so, by all means, check it out!
