Nearing the final few pictures left to illustrate for Beginning, I figured I had only big ones to show left. Here's one that pulls at the heartstrings. Chrys' remorse. When she accidentally blasts the Diamond Dogs unconscious thinking she seriously harmed them (but didn't). 
Even when she was rightly justified in defending herself, Chrys didn't feel good to have let her magic go out of control and harm another. This one hit hard from the moment we had the sketch planned out. Reminded me a lot of Mob Psycho100, the moment Mob loses control against Hanazawa and cries in his frustration against his own powerlessness to control his emotions and thus his power.
Wanting to be a good person is a challenge in of itself. Sometimes we have bad days. Sometimes we have bad weeks. Sometimes we can't be a never-ending paragon of good will. The heart is strong, but it won't always be. It falters, hurts, and struggles at times. But we should persevere. If not for the sake of others, then for ourselves.
