Whoops! We're running late!
A big thank you to anyone who stayed interested in this project over the break! Your comments, private messages, and asks always made us smile. And a hello to anyone who’s returning or finds it now!
Finishing took us a lot longer than we expected—but we never actually stopped. We’ve been working on Empathy for the Devil and more stories in this continuity the whole time and having the absolute time of of our lives. I can’t gush enough that the experience of working on this has been obscenely fulfilling and fun for both Bevin and I, but at least for this story, now it’s time to release it out into the world.
Finally, after two and a half long years in development, we’re back, baby! The rest of the story is coming at you every other day until the story is complete, with bonus features blogs on off days! We're so damn excited, the wait is nearly over, but remember:

Can’t wait till tomorrow! It’s been a while so I’ll have an excuse to reread chapters 1-7. This story has been a fantastic read and the source of so much inspiration for a story of my own. Not only that but I was ecstatic when I found out that this is only the beginning and there are more stories to come. Looking forward to tomorrow and every day afterward because of this.
(PS) will you be releasing the chapters all at once or on a set schedule like last time?

Super excited as well! Definitely more stories to come! And to answer your question, the chapters will be released every other day like last time. I like giving people a day in between to think about/process things, or catch up if they have a busy day. There's 15 in total in this story, so for Part II that means the release schedule looks like this:

Ooooooh boy. Okay, so Empathy for the Devil (and its prequel, The Exes Club) is one of those FiMFic titans that I was determined to wait until it was marked "complete" before I completely binged out on both. For a while, I was really worried that it'd died the death of overambition, like so many before it.
To hear that you've not just been working on it, but absolutely hammering it out to the point where you're able to release a new chapter every other day?! Warms my heart and gets me hyped the heck up, lemme tell you.
Apologies that this is probably the first comment I've ever made to you and it's a bit... stalker-ish? Just been lurking in the background for this one, and I'm definitely looking forward to it. Thanks for the update!

Oh man, this all makes me super happy to hear!
Yeah, I don't blame you for wondering if it bit the big one. It never once got close to never being finished, we were stoked on it the whole time, but we also didn't want to promise a when for the longest time. Bevin was working several back-to-back storyboard and storyboard revisionist contracts for different shows and while I finished most things in Spring 2021 on the writing side, I still went back and revised a lot while Bevin worked on the illustrations and other art. So from the outside looking in, no one would've known for sure besides us!
But yeah, we always knew that we'd announce a date when we were finished everything so we could release it without interruption when we came back! More fun that way, rather than people going for several months between each chapter.
Haha, also, no worries, this is an awesome first message. I've been a lurker before, too, sometimes it's just what we have the energy for, right?
