This week, Dragonfire Blah Blah Xmas Edition.
More adorable Misty shenanigans.
On a gaming note, I tried the free RTX update to Portal today.
Long story short, very pretty, but not worth the strain on the hardware.
Portal (2007 version):
Native 4K resolution.
Buttery-smooth 120 frames per second.
3080 Ti holds steady at 42°C.
Portal with RTX:
Native 4K resolution.
Struggles to maintain even 60 frames per second.
3080 Ti throttled at 83°C after 15 minutes of play.
I would say it was a pretty interesting holiday special

If it wasn't already clear that Misty would round out this gen's Mane 6, she actually stopped to regret her actions in this one.
Maybe it was just Izzy being Izzy in this episode, but does it seem like G5 sometimes makes the others dumb so that Zipp looks smart by comparison? Izzy doesn't question Cloudpuff showing up in a box the next morning when he was there the night before, and when the lantern goes missing in Make Your Mark, Pipp doesn't question why it was in a sack half-buried in the community garden.
Is 120fps a thing now?

That and then some. Depending on the monitor, you can go all the way up to 360fps.

Ngl, I'm awaiting for a moment like this to happen with Opaline after the many failures Misty has done just so she can get the dragonfire magic.

Only to find out how badly she has underestimated Sparky and the Mane Five and learn just WHY Misty has had such a hard time (other than the possibility that Misty's conscience might have been subconsciously sabotaging her).
That is probably what they have in mind for one of the future Make Your Mark episodes (either Chapter Four [episodes nine through sixteen], Chapter Six [episodes 17 through 23] or one of the two remaining specials in the season).
And, yeah, I'll admit that Opaline would probably eventually get a lot closer to succeeding, only to end up failing because of Misty finally wising up and switching sides at exactly the right moment (which is why I think it is more likely to be either one of the last episodes in Chapter Six or the last special of the season)
