Some more cards for the game from two days ago. I promise I'll stop spamming your feed with these soon, it's just what's occupying my brain at the moment.

Also, a note, the effects of cards and their relevant strengths or weaknesses are not indicative of my own opinions on those authors or stories. Just want to put that out there as a disclaimer.

Rules addendums:

- An Author cannot post a story on the same turn it entered a Writer slot, whether it was played there or rotated in from an Editor slot, unless it has the Speedwriter ability.

- Stories a player controls generate energy at the beginning of that player's turn. Stories a player controls reduce their heat by 1 immediately afterwards.

Here’s the thing about pain. Pain hurts. Pain hurts a lot.

1: Dressing Room

Star Power isn't Twilight Sparkle — but she does play her on TV.

2: Mendacity

For the record, I don't consider these posts spam. Indeed, they give me warm feelings and nostalgia. I really hope that we get enough cards for a deck, and that decks get printed.

Cool! So glad I went to check out the comments on the previous card drop!

Maybe link to this in the previous's text?

IIRC, this seems playable and stuff because it's Slow Burn, making it easy to balance as long as individual cards don't have easily OP effects. It's not like MtG or Yugioh, where Turn 1 Wins are possible. The game's gotta go for at least ~6 turns, from guess-math, because you want 20 Energy and you can only get a max of 7-ish / turn, unless you're using Cat's Cradle and Please Downvote, etc. And both those cards still take time to use, even at max setup with RB spam, and there's the high risk of the people wielding Removal, which is a good practice for everyone.

Can I suggest authors?

Ghost of Heracletus
Bad Horse
Harry Lefferts
Bucking Nonsense

and a contentious pick

RHJunior

I feel I'm dating myself with these suggestions.

If you had to recommend one story by Bad Horse, what would it be? I'm not familiar enough with their work to know what I should feature.

5699314
I would say either Bad Horse's Bedtime Stories for Impressionable Young Colts and Fillies or The Gathering.

Maybe Editor, Writer, and
Unindicted Co-Conspirator: +3 heat to any stories whose author is an Old Guard.
