This is a collection of short stories written for the prompts on the Thirty Minute Ponies tumblr.

I wanted to start writing faster and learn how to write in new styles, and decided the best way would be practice. I remember finding a few groups here for prompts but don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a prompt from any of them. And then I stumbled onto the tumblr, which unfortunately had closed roughly two weeks before I found it. I decided that I’d take the prompts anyways though. My goal is to write one a day, but that won’t always be possible. The stories will vary from genre to genre, but Slice of Life will be fairly prevalent just by the nature of the beast.

Odds are this will eventually break into multiple collections, considering there are 572 prompts.

The overall style of this changes (or will change) around prompt #10

Prompt 1: Visiting Hours "Write a Rainbow Pie story in which one (or both) of the characters does not utter a single word of dialogue for the entire story."
Pinkie goes to visit Rainbow Dash in the hospital. [Sad] [Slice of Life]

Prompt 2: Untitled (Appleshocked) “Applejack walks in on a romantic moment between Twilight and Rarity.” [Romance] [Slice of Life]

Prompt 3: I'm Sorry "Twilight is grievously injured and only Pinkie Pie can save her."
One of Pinkie's shenanigans has backfired badly, and she tries to make up for that.[Adventure(?)] [Slice of Life]

Prompt 4: Don’t Read This One “Princess Luna takes Pinkie Pie on an ‘outing’ to thank her for something.”
Pinkie and Luna will be attending a party at Studio 49. [Slice of Life] No seriously. Don’t read this one.

Prompt 5: The House-guest “Rarity and Fluttershy have their first big fight.”
Rarity has an unwelcome visitor and seeks Fluttershy’s help. [Comedy] [Slice of Life(?)]

Prompt 6: The Ascent "Character A has done or is going to do something which will hurt Character B, and A knows they’re going to hurt B, but A is going to do it anyway."
Spike and Twilight have made an unfortunate discovery during an expedition, and have to race it to freedom. [Tragedy] [Dark]

Prompt 7: Oops “The circumstances leading to, following, or surrounding somepony uttering the question, ‘How could Twilight Sparkle be so stupid?’”
Spike and Twilight have to deal with a spell gone horribly wrong. [Comedy] [Random(?)]

Prompt 8: The Dance "Write a story about ponies dancing." He doesn't remember why they dance, no one does anymore. But this year is different, he can feel it. [Dark]

Prompt 9: The Funeral “Write a Flutterjack fic which includes the last words Fluttershy and Applejack ever say to one another.”
Rainbow Dash attends Applejack's funeral. [Sad]

Prompt 10: A Night on the Town "Two ponies go to a bar, one gets extremely drunk."
One of Celestia's personal guards finds himself in a position his training did not prepare him for. [Comedy]

I personally do all of the writing and editing on these stories, for better or for worse.

The time of heroes is long over. Those who didn't get out of the game while they still could were taken out, finding themselves in prison or in a shallow grave. Anyone can put on a mask, but actually being a hero, Equestria learned, is easier said than done.

Evil didn't yield to the heroes even then. It adapted, raising its own masked champions to oppose the Vigilantes. But when the heroes left, the shadows stayed. Now, crime is out of control. No one dares to fight back. No one, that is, but one mare who takes up an old mantle to desperately try and hold back the darkness threatening to consume the city, and defend harmony.
