Shook me up pretty bad when I got the PM. But I think it's my own fault: I've tended to disdain stories with the big red M, seeing them as a source of gore porn and, um, porn porn. As a kid who grew up on war movies and now works in an ICU, the notion of bloody violence as "mature" was one I never quite grasped so long as the gore wasn't the story. Which in hindsight was a touch delusional - a severed limb is a severed limb no matter how nobly lost.

1) Just published my first "mature" rated fic, listed as such for the... I shall use the term, "unromantic" depiction of warfare. Blood, death, despair, yadda.

2) I have/had plans for another one-shot based on "All Quiet on the Western Front," debatably the most depressing book ever put forward by the Western World.

Always nice when a story "takes off." Particularly this one, since I'm personally far happier with it than my other ones that have enjoyed high popularity.

For a longer project, though... I have something different on the brain. I've never written a video-game ponification myself, but I've enjoyed reading them. Some good, light entertainment, as well as some really deep ideas out of MythrilMoth's monster of a story.
