It is a rare and strange episode of MLP that can actually get at my feels.
Now excuse me, I'm going to go not cry.
Love is a verb, not a noun.

I'm happy that I live a comfortable and contented life, with so few problems that I can afford to be unreasonably sensitive to mean things people say on the internet.
The trick now, of course, is to stop being unreasonably sensitive to mean things people say on the internet.
D'aaaw... color me charmed.
Like... intellectually, I'm aware that this isn't much to write home about. I have no idea how the ranking system works, but Fimfic has many better read, better liked, and better stories than my little effort at a Christmas tale. Maybe it's the... "thumbs-up to thumbs-down ratio?" Or something.
Still pretty cool, though. Thanks for reading it.
I have once more been gleefully surprised by Mech (alias MisterMech on DA) with the delivery of a second fan art for Wayward Sun. Really makes me think I that need to do more nice things for other people... make the world a little cheerier, etc.
Anyway: Again, it is huge.
A surprising treat came in my inbox a few days ago: A piece of fanart by the esteemed Mech (alias MisterMech on DA). I see his art frequently on EQD, and it's both enthusing and humbling to have an established artist view my work highly enough to give time to it.
On July 28, 1914, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, marking the start of World War I. Both side's allies quickly intervened, and within a month the continent was engulfed in the cataclysm. 17 million lives were lost before it ended, four years later. Even more disastrous proved the peace that followed - the humiliated, desperate Germany would launch World War II, furthering the death toll by 60 million.
"So Abram rose, and clave the wood, and went,
New project in the works: a multi-chapter one, focusing on Celestia with a definite "sad" tag attached. I've become very passionate about this work. More passionate than my usual, and more obsessive about making it as good as I can make it.
A Spike episode that has...
-A relatively complicated, multi-stage plot
-A conflict caused by genuine mistakes and failures, rather than out-of-character idiocy
-Some kidney-punching emotions
-World building and continuity
-And a good, heartfelt ending that doesn't get botched by a cheap gag
No blatant stupidity out of Spike. No Twilight being clueless and dense. I've always wanted to like the little guy, and this is the Spike episode I've been waiting for.
For me, MLP has gradually downgraded from "obsession" to "passion." The trend seems to be continuing, narrowing it further into a "hobby." Strange to say, but that's probably a good thing. To spend more time interacting with humanity, reading literature, and engaged in art (I paint models) seems rather more productive than endlessly digesting art and gossip related to a fictional show.
