IN WHICH VICTORY IS CLOSE BUT NOT

Well, I think I'm almost finished with my Dazzlings story. In terms of quality, it could be the worst story I've ever written, maybe not worth the effort I put into it, especially considering its shortness, but it's one I really wanted to do. It's been quite a challenge too. Nearly every line of dialog has a music reference. Except from Aria. I almost feel bad for her, because her "sisters" are nuts.

I did not expect to finish a Mayor Mare story before the Dazzlings story I've been working on for longer, but them's the breaks sometimes. In terms of writing, the Dazzlings story is more complex, though it doesn't seem like it. Most of that is the frankly absurd number of music references woven into the dialogue, but the rest is that I have no idea how to conclude it.

As you might have guessed from the header, I still feel like crap. It could be strepthroat or just a basic crud bug. Given that I've got sinus issues too, it's probably not strep. I've been lethargic all week, which is unfortunate because this is probably the one week I can't afford to be out of commission. Yet I am. And I feel like I'm letting everyone IRL down. IN WHICH I AM SICK

So I've been achy for the last couple of days and have had trouble breathing. I rarely get sick, so this is unusual. It's also unusual because I'm a hypochondriac who actively avoids areas with lots of people, so I'm not sure where I got infected. I blame the fact that classes have just started here – I live in a college town with a lot of out-of-state kids and my home is next to an elementary school; both groups are massive disease vectors.
