IN WHICH I CAN'T WRITE ANYONE BUT SUNSET
I make no secret of Sunset Shimmer being by far my favourite MLP character, and my top-rated stories all involve her. However, the majority of my writing on this site doesn't involve her at all – of the dozen stories I have here so far, she headlines three and cameos in a fourth. Despite my avatar (currently Sunset's cutie-mark), I don't want readers to assume I only write stories about a mentally-broken Sunset. However, my non-Sunset writing tends not to be as easy to pull off of late. Frustrated, I let my mind wander. Of course, two Sunset Shimmer stories popped into my brain.
Instinct says when a story pops into your head, fully-formed or close enough, it's usually a good idea to keep it. One is a comedy, the other is a slice-of-life, both are one-shots that involve Rarity and would be in continuity with H&L&H. I don't know whether I'll write them or not. Suppose we'll see; if I can wrangle 1000 words out of either one, then I'll go for it.
Oh right. Anime. That's what I wanted to talk about. This weekend has been Galaxy Railways, if only because my DVD player tried to eat the last disc of School Rumble. It did the same thing on the penultimate episode of School Days (which a lot of people hate but I liked). Maybe my decade-old player just hates anime with "School" in the title?
I think this follows from the Ghostbusters Principle:
