IN WHICH I FALL FURTHER BEHIND THE TIMES
I have not seen Legend Of Everfree. I probably won't get the opportunity to see it for quite some time due to stuff happening IRL. I've heard that Sunset gets shafted out of the main character position by Twilight yet again, so I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to see it.
I feel guilty that most of my stories feel years behind the times. But sometimes that's how long it takes me to get an idea out there. One year ago I outlined, almost in its entirety, a mystery adventure story starring Sunset Shimmer. I still have every intention of writing it, though I'm a bit busy at the moment to do so. The problem is because of when I outlined it, it incorporates the first two EQG movies but not the third or fourth. I suppose I shouldn't worry about it much since I plan to tag it AU anyway.
It reminds me of when, three years ago, I wrote a lot of words of a Pinkamena Diane Pie fic that delved heavily into a backstory for her… and then Maud was introduced. Maud is one of my favourite ponies, but her revealed existence (and the much later episode on the rock farm) caused my story to fall apart before I could finish it, so I never bothered.
I think before I leave for a long weekend of work, I'll finally make public one of my hidden stories. The question is whether it should be my Dazzlings story or my Spike story. Or both.

I've just had a long-brewing story get stomped by Flash's character development in LoE. I suppose it's my own fault for taking so long with it, but saving it might require some major surgery.
Dazzlings are certainly cool...
