How is it that there hasn't been a PMV of this song made yet?

That's right, it's update time. I'm approximately halfway done with Chapter 8, which, like most chapters, has its unique challenges. In this case, the challenge is making a metric assload of exposition sound interesting. Fortunately, I've got a lot of practice doing this through dialogue from my previous, non-pony fanfiction efforts, so it should still be enjoyable.
I've wanted the chapters of Wild, Sweet & Cool to have since I started writing it. The problem was, I had no idea how many chapters there would be, and I wanted all of the chapters to be named after songs by The Crystal Method, which meant that had a somewhat limited supply to begin with. But, now that I've got a fairly good idea of how many total chapters there will be (10, plus one epilogue, unless one or more of the remaining three ends up being so long that it justifies being split up), I
The problems I'd been having with Chapter 7 appear to have been largely dealt with, thanks in no small part to DPV111's assistance. If this were a movie, I'd totally give him an "Executive Producer" title, since "editor" or "pre-reader" doesn't sound right (mostly because I only ask him for feedback on unfinished drafts).
Just wanted to let you know that I am indeed working on Chapter 7 of Wild, Sweet and Cool. It's been slow going, however, because hammering out a satisfying ending to the chapter has been more complicated than I thought. I'm sure I'll work everything out eventually, though.
After giving the matter some thought, I think I might make "Chapter 6" into "Chapters 6 and 7." I'm doing this for two reasons. First, my personal preference for fanfiction chapters is about 3,000 words to begin with, and right around that point, I came to a spot that seemed like a natural break. Secondly, and more importantly, the "sneak peak" I posed in the previous blog post revealed some unexpected controversy, and trying to decide what to do about it was actually making it really
Just to let you all know, Chapter 6 might take a little longer than usual, because right now, it looks like it's going to be the longest chapter to date (and the fact that it doesn't follow the "flight log" format of previous chapters doesn't make it go by any quicker).
So, when I watched the Season 2 finale, I wasn't really expecting it to have any effect on WS&C... but apparently, all the events in my story need to happen before the Wedding, since Rainbow Dash can pull off a Sonic Rainboom pretty much at will, even against gravity. Fortunately for me, that shouldn't mess with the suspension of disbelief too much, since Studio B rarely gives any indication about how much time passes between episodes.
I've been working on Chapter 5 recently, and I think I've reached that wonderful point in the writing process where I can safely say that the draft I'm writing right now will almost certainly be the one that gets posted. I'm quite excited, actually, because this is the chapter where things start getting... interesting.
