Equestria. A land with a mysterious, misty history. Or so it was.

A young historian has collected the stories and accounts of ponies all over Equestria, from the old sages of the Unicorn Range to the village elders of the mountain clans to the ancient tomes of the Royal Library. Here is a (mostly) non-conflicting account of Equestria's history, from the Reign of The Four to modern day.

Much thanks to Warren Hutch's Book of Days for formatting inspiration.

This one will update semi-randomly, filling in background headcannons for my personal writing universe, explaining the stories I can't work in, but are part of the world.

It's just a window. Just a window. There's nothing bad about a stained-glass window.

These are Twilight's thoughts as she walks into uncertainty. Why does Celestia want to speak with her privately? Why have the Sisters, so unchanging, been so... Worn out lately? What could it all mean?

It's probably nothing. She's probably just overreacting again. Right?

Centuries upon centuries ago, Sombra had an easy life: A mother who loved him, a father who supported him, a best friend, and a deep-set crush. It was great, still gold beneath the tarnish. But one summer all that changed. His only friend moved away, his mother died, and his father all but hollowed out. Sombra still searched for the gleam of gold beneath the dents and scratches, but was it still there?

This is the tale of how he fell, and how he took a whole Empire--and his family--with him.

Fifteen years after becoming a Princess of Equestria, Twilight picks up on some strange occurrences: Ponies falling ill, then suddenly being cured... Foals disappearing from their beds and turning up on the other side of the continent... Misplaced beasts from the Everfree... She's more than certain it means something, but Celestia disagrees. So Twilight returns to Ponyville, to finally catch up with her old friends and maybe--just maybe--enlist their help against whatever is coming.

Deep in the heart of Tartaurus, an ancient evil is gathering his strength. Seeking vengeance for his past defeat, the dark King reaches out to those with a similar thirst. A deadly alliance is forged. Can the Knights of Harmony stand against the encroaching tide? Only time will tell.

((This is going to be rewritten in the future. I'm going to be deleting the second chapter, and will start this rewrite after I'm done with the two active projects I have.))
