It's just a window. Just a window. There's nothing bad about a stained-glass window.
These are Twilight's thoughts as she walks into uncertainty. Why does Celestia want to speak with her privately? Why have the Sisters, so unchanging, been so... Worn out lately? What could it all mean?
It's probably nothing. She's probably just overreacting again. Right?
Interesting take on the life of alicorns. Kind of bittersweet.

Squee! A comment!
Thanks. I kinda figured, since they're essentially gods and the writers said they weren't immortal, reincarnation was the only option, with the past lives' memories slowly returning. I'll be expanding on the idea in later stuff--I've got a collection of stories about the past Princesses in the works.
As far as the bittersweet part goes, yeah. Endings are difficult for me, mostly because I have trouble writing satisfying happy ones. So I tried to write something that had an ending at the start and a beginning at the end.
Ah hah! I thought you were trying to go for the "The end is the beginning and the beginning is the end" kind of flow on this! It was pretty well written but I have to agree with Marley, was quite bittersweet but at the same time an interesting take on things. I really would love to see more of it.

Thanks! Bittersweet wound up being the aim, because, like I said, 'happy' is difficult to write for me. (Thus I hit the 'sad' tag. There's no 'bittersweet' one.)
I might write more about Helia and Stella as they grow older, but not for awhile. I've still got one story to map out and another to finish writing. When I need a dose of cute, I may pick the thread back up.
This is a great concept you have here!
