Well. First attempt at a blog since The Update (duh-duh-dunnn). Looks like the old copy-paste method is getting some slightly different results. No matter, I shall adapt.

Fate has a way of being annoying. For the first time in a while, I managed to get all my reading for the day done while on my lunch break at work. I was really looking forward to using that extra time to maybe finish writing Derp this evening.
...and then, for the first time in months, I found myself stuck in traffic for an hour-and-a-half on the way home. Bye bye, extra free time.
Dead in the middle of Bibliophile week, and it's... a lot more productive than I expected, actually. I've been getting around 1,500 - 2,000 words in like clockwork since Sunday (except yesterday, but that was a busy day for real life junk-stuff-things). Which is great, because I'm almost done with Chapter 2 of Bulletproof Heart. My next step will be to put my schedule aside and finish Derp, partially to give Pascoite something to butcher (and it will be butchered, trust me
It's just about time for the pain. What do I mean by that? Well, next week is a workaholic week. that means 60k words a day for me, all of which will be devoted to a single story. And after that, I've got a large number of big stories (200,000+ words) coming along at once. I've decided to forgo my usual maximum limits for a few weeks just for the sake of getting these things done and out of the way without sacrificing my lead too much. All in all, I don't mind it that much, save that the amount
Fate is weird at times. I saw how far ahead I was getting with my reviews and decided that this week would be a light reading week. And then what happens? I don't get any reading done over the weekend, forcing me add to my daily wordcounts in order to catch up. End result: this week's just as busy as any other... but would have been a lot worse if I'd planned it normally. So yeah, somehow I avoided a big hit in my overall time by sheer luck.
So... fate is weird.
You know what's annoying? When you get to a chapter you have little interest in writing, but have to get through to get to the good stuff. That's where I'm at now with The Silence, and even pulling off 1,000-2,000 words a day for the last 4 days this week, it feels like I'm just grinding through it at a Tank's pace. Worse, I don't feel as though I'm writing it very well as a result. I'm probably going to go through it and make a lot of changes before it gets released, which I don't see
A couple things to point out today. The first is that anyone who actually pays attention to my Review Schedule will note that my Requests List got a significant jump last week. This is because one SleepIsforTheWeak went a requested a whopping 23 stories at once. This isn't the first time something like this has happened though; JawJoe once asked me to review every story he'd written at the time of the request, and I followed through. But I don't want the next 23 weeks of blogs to all be devoted
Yes, yes, I know. But I realized last week that I'm going to be off on Friday, which means I'm gonna be headed to visit my parents in Louisiana tomorrow. This always means I'll be spending no time whatsoever on pone stuffses, be it writing, reading or blogging. So I figured, why make you guys wait an extra day when I could just post now and be done with it?
Anywho, no time to chitter-chat. I've gotta get some things done today so tomorrow doesn't turn into a rat race. To the reviews!
