No reviews next week, folks. It's that usual time when I get to take a break. Which is kinda funny, considering I'm not reading any pony at all for the current week. But eh, that's just how the schedule falls.
And now for an item of great interest:
Milestone! As of yesterday, I've managed to meet my 1,500 words/day quota for a straight week. It's the first time in a long time, and I'm starting to remember the old methods for guaranteed productivity. It mostly involves realizing that time is passing at a scary rate and I still have dozens of story ideas in need of writing before I meet my maker. Seriously, this year has flown for me. It seems like only yesterday I was pushing 25, and in just over a week I'll be 33.
I noticed something in the past few days. I've been trucking along on 50,000-60,000 words/day of reading to keep up with my review schedule these past three weeks, and last night I finally finished one of my seven big stories (which is getting reviewed today). I've been juggling so many at once that my attention is waning, which I fear makes the quality of my reviews suffer. When it's all said and done, it comes down to this: I'm burning out.
It's that time again, folks! I was going to do a plug for this blog, but alas, I haven't finished that which I aim to plug. I'm not about to point at something and say "This is awesome!" when I haven't seen the ending yet, y'know?
That Feature Box run brought to you by the awesome Georg, who went and did me a solid with an unsolicited feature of Friendship = Evil. You cool, bro. Have a long overdue follow.
Hello, boys and girls! I'm back, and feeling a lot more confident about the coming storm than I did a week ago.
"Why, PaulAsaran, what ever would have caused you to do something like that?"
Well, the weekend with my parents was bust, but I fully expected that. Ignoring those days, I am pleased to say that I have stuck to my guns and managed at least 1,500 words/day for two weeks running. I've had to knuckle down and ignore all the distractions that so easily come up. Proving that I still have it in me to do it gives me a sense of pride, not to mention a feeling that my goals are as attainable as ever.
