Not all stories end in sunshine, smiles, and easy forgiveness. Sometimes, the scars left by traumas run deeper than anticipated. And sometimes, long-withheld pains, fears, and doubts can cause a pony to hit their breakdown.
You're right, Momlestia is best 'lestia. I can't wait to see what the next chapter is going to be about! Like the story so far, too. The character's reactions are all very believable, and the writing itself is, for lack of a better word, awesome.
Oh, and first! I've never been first before.... I feel so honored!
I love stories where Rainbow gets pissed off at the others for the MDW thing. They made her look like a buffoon the whole episode, yet she didn't even get angry when she saw that it was them the whole time? I just don't get it.
I don’t believe the premise of this chapter. I can understand how Rainbow Dash would be personally hurt that her friends never talked to her and asked her to stop bragging. But I don’t understand why the townsfolk would start insulting Dash over the incident. One of the last things she did in front of the townsfolk was try to mow someone’s lawn and save it from weeds, and the townsfolk just said “lame”, shook their heads, and walked away. Then she aggressively asked Mare Do Well who she was during the ceremony, and the townsfolk were shocked. But how did they change from that to insulting Rainbow Dash? What exactly were they insulting her with?
Also, how is what the townsfolk say the fault of the rest of the Main Six? They didn’t make any big announcements in front of the townsfolk decrying Rainbow Dash or anything. The unveiling of Mare Do Well was done in a private back alley, and Rainbow Dash acted humble at the end of it, so anyone watching the whole situation wouldn’t think less of Rainbow. Any bad feelings the townsfolk might have towards Rainbow would be due to Rainbow’s bragging, which is her own fault, or due to her confronting Mare Do Well, which the others’ are only slightly to blame for. They did provide a target for Rainbow to publically act badly towards, but they didn’t do anything to provoke Rainbow into acting badly (such as, for instance, bragging that Mare Do Well is better than Rainbow) – Rainbow’s confrontational attitude was her own fault.
“I knew it was a bad idea almost from the start” Fluttershy confessed. “But I was too afraid of how the others would react if I said so. I w-was too afraid that they’d turn on me if I tried to talk them out of it. But now… I wish I’d been more assertive, that I’d told them why I thought we shouldn’t do it. But I wasn’t brave enough, and I… I ended up going along with breaking your heart…”
Don’t worry Fluttershy...you’ll get there...I’m certainly making sure you’re more assertive in my story, and I’l make certain that you are when I get to that episode.
Yeah, I agree with Dash on one thing: the girls could’ve at least talked to her first before resorting to this. At leas then the would’ve done the rational thing first before dressing up as mare do well. Plus, if they wanted to give her an example of how a real hero should act, they could’ve used the Wonderbolts as a perfect example! Rainbow has been dreaming of being one since she was a filly, and if she wants to be like them one day, she should take a leaf out of their book, and by that I mean, knowing when to show off and when not to, especially during times of crisis. I’m pretty sure that if the girls used them as an example of how Rainbow should act, especially since she wants to be like them, then they wouldn’t have had to resort to Mare Do Well.
“I… I trusted those girls! I gave them my heart and soul! But they betrayed my trust! They betrayed me !! After everything we’ve been through together, they destroyed me the minute they didn’t like what I was doing! …H-How could they do that to me, Celestia?! What did I do to deserve all that?! You’re supposed to know everything; please, tell me! WHY IS THIS ALL HAPPENING TO ME?!?! ”
we all know how the original episode ended, but that episode had sparked a whole crapload of fan stuff that i didn't even know about until now. there is another fic that is like this and a song as well. the links are below. this was awesome BTW.
So she still crawls back to them. Oh well. And what about Trixie? She was wronged too. She was doing her job as an entertainer and was messed with by the mane six. And everything Twi does doesn't matter due to being a princess.
8996367 Yeah considering they were pretty hypocritical in that episode considering rainbow didn't have unicorn magic or pinkie sense to help her. They complained about her bragging but they were secretly doing it too.

I love you put Celestia in this but the town is a bit overboard.

Because you feel betrayed Dash.
They’d better, or else it’ll have all been for naught.
