Ben Barnyard quote a strong man stands up for himself a stronger man stands up for others
Attack the surrendering dragon, good idea, nothing can go wrong.
Joke aside, good chapter.
Goddammit Trench!
Well.
That went absolutely tits-up.

They thought he was a changeling, not a real, actual dragon. I mean, come on, "I got stabbed?" Who would buy that? Clearly, he's the worst infiltrator ever, ignoring 'Crystal Hoof' Thorax. They didn't really get time to process, oh shit, dragon because Jon's fast with a sword.

Flare Warden attacked Jon as well, but events occurred quickly. He was concerned with Thorax's safety at the end.

Not all Trench's fault. Flash should've gotten reinforcements, but he's not by-the-book. He did try to pull Trench off, changeling or not. And Jon's from Westeros, so if he draws a blade, he's damn well going for a kill. This is 'canon' Equestria. The Royal Guards aren't really prepared for Westeros-level violence. (R'hllor help them if the Hound shows up.)
Great chapter and fight.
Well. This went from, lets say, 10 to 100 really fucking fast!
At least Jon can fight for his or his friends lives in an unknown body without much difficulty either.
Unfortunately, however, peace talks are out of the plan, at the moment, which is really hard right now for our Jon / Thorax.
Also is Thorax talking to himself or is he actually communicating with Pharynx through the hive mind or something?
Almost a Battle of Camlann in miniature. One bit of bad luck, one reflexive reaction, and a potentially huge butcher's bill at the end of it.
I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter.

No, Thorax is just really, really lonely, so he's imagining what his brother would be telling him.
And Jon doesn't get into too many sword fights in the books, but he's noted to be very fast. Instinct kicked in and he moved without thinking about it. (Like maybe some hoarding instinct about leaving Longclaw?)
Well, it's a good thing we established in previous chapters that the death penalty is no longer an acceptable punishment. Maybe Luna can bring it back!
