It's amazing how children can really put things in perspective, isn't it?
Wonderful chapter where mayhaps is chapter 9, of course I had to ask a silly question dry, once again love the story
choosing your social status over vinyl.. you disapoint me octaiva
Children always speak the truth.
Also, Octavia choosing career over love? Hmm... Seems a bit OOC, but this is your story, after all. Keep up the good work, Flinx
On Octavia's side, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. Clearly she cares about Vinyl but can't bring herself to possibly lose her job entirely by marriage and lose financial security and second love in life which are important. That sort of security, although a bit cold, matters in keeping many relationships from breaking.
On Vinyl's side, that love letter was one of the most humbling and touching "I love you" I've ever read. Beautiful, Flinx.
Love that part, children would really say stuff like that.

2285994 It isn't a proper way of speaking, but "you all" can be used to address a single person.

Eh, i was just pointing out that I had never heard anyone actually use it like that down here. It's no biggie though.

I have never considered AJ illiterate. Country: yes. Bad at math: yes. Illiterate? eenope.
Either way, as I said above, it's not a big deal.
Pip's got himself some proper perspective!
This story is really interesting, especially the jumps between third-person story development and first-person "I love her because" and "Our relationship is like". I sort of prefer the latter, it's more fun, but it wouldn't do as well without the surrounding story.
Now, have you calmed down?
Yeah, I'm calm. Don't know what's been getting into me...
Anyway, good chapter. Very touching, especially that last note. And Pip asks questions I would ask.
F*&K yeah Pip. F&*K yeah.
By the way, in the cockney world h is treated like a vowel, so it'd be "two 'alves make an 'ole" rather than a 'ole
Pip is best foal. No contest, he is made of yes.
