I spied a large economical flaw with the Apples lawsuit. If they lose their farm and shut down for good then it could have bad effects on the produce economy for the city. Let's say that Sweet Apple Acres is the only source of fresh organic HEALTHY apples and apple products like cider and pies in the region. Their connections with local farmers markets and stores help drive up produce and in return have a steady supply chain to places like supermarkets, schools like CHS and Crystal Prep, and local business like the Cakes bakery.
Now say that all goes away with the lawsuit winning. Sweet Apple Acres closes down and all apple harvesting stops. Supermarkets would have to outsource to other much farther locations for apples and apple based products for a much higher cost due to distance and export costs in the region. Which could cause a loss in revenue for the company so they have to jack up their prices for consumers which could cauae a surplus that no one wants and eventually the surplus would spoil and be a loss of possible money. This would also mean schools would have to outsource as well which would hurt their budgets and in turn remove some if not all extracurriculars from a school until the school makes a profit or shuts down entirely. Same with local businesses if they have to purchase apple and apple products from elsewhere. Their profits would turn into losses and any attempts to raise cost will end up with loss of conaumers in turn would have the business to shut down for good including popular places like the Cakes bakery and such, which would cause a increase in unemployment and costs for products to rise substantially.
In turn if this family suing the Apples wins they wpuld ve the cause for a economical emergency for the entire city and region and would probably be targets for people who have lost their jobs and livelihood cause their child has some embarrassing secret poated on a social media site.
If anything the family should've sued Mystable for allowing them to upload it which then the company would see backlash and have to change their systems. Simple economics
Sunset has a lot on her plate. Paparazzi spreading rumors she's Spitfire's daughter, the Sirens' heartstones, and dealing with the Anon-A-Miss aftermath. Things are not easy for her, are they?
9081768 It’s neither one of them, The first photo was taken by a random passerby who is a big fan of the Wonderbolts and sold the photo to the local newspaper. The second photos is from a paparazzi, but not one pony related.
9081508 Nope and they get even worse when the next photo takes special interest in who she is with. Not to mention that the paparazzi and news reporters are closing in on where she goes to school and they’ll be right on time to witness something.
Okay. I’ve caught up to the latest chapter, and feel comfortable in saying that the story telling has improved quite a bit from the silliness that was the reveal of anon-a-miss’s identity. Unfortunately, the technical writing, while better, still leaves much to be desired. The story is enough to keep my interest, but the shifts in tense and occasional awkward bit of wording makes it difficult to read at times.
9088862 This story is an alternate to Dainn's Anon-A-Miss, in that story the sirens were dying because without their pendants they couldn't eat and in exchange for helping Sunset figure out who Anon-A-Miss is they wanted new pendants.
9089284 I know that because Dainn's version is literally the first Anon-A-Miss fic I read. What did Aria mean when she said Sunset better help or she would become more famous than she already is? What exactly is she threatening?
9089344 Ah ok. I appreciate the clarification. I wasn't sure what exactly she was threatening since she didn't actually say it. Then there's the fact she asked why Sunset was on the front page of the paper afterwards so...
"Mom, is the Apple family really going to loose their farm?"
Celestia places her mug on Sunset's coffee table before answering. "I don't know all the details, but the families that filled a suit against the girls families want a large sum of money which the Apples can't afford to pay."
"So it's all about money huh?" Sunset mutters which earned a raised eyebrow from her aunt and mother.
"Sunset, what are you getting at?" Luna asks her niece.
I'm gonna get the princess to send me a bunch of gems which are commonplace in Equestria, exchange them for cash here and save Sweet Apple Acres.
9106390 There's a sort of poetic justice in doing something like that. Besides nothing guilt trips like repaying betrayal with kindness. Mwah ha ha ha ha! And maybe Applebloom will stop seeing Sunset as a demon as well
9106532 you're right about that in fact during the Christmas party at the Apple farm, Sunset will make them all feel even more guilty when she hands them their presents.
9080830 i'm hoping this will be brought up in the story never would've figured what would happen if Sweet Apple Acres does shut down I doubt anyone who loses their job because of the lawsuit if it wins are going to be sympathetic to that family this lawsuit better be worth it to the family suing if it's only going to result in them becoming worse social parahs than Anon-A-Miss
9116665 It will actually become public knowledge soon of what the Crusaders did to Sunset, everyone will know what the girls did and the Apple family’s name will be tarnished by not only the actions of Applebloom, but Applejack as well.
9116775 I've got a bad feeling about this. As Speedy Silverstreak pointed out, there could be possibly be a huge economic crisis if the lawsuit against Sweet Apple Acres succeeds and the farm gets shutdown. Mystable was the one who let Anon A Miss to run wild and they did nothing to stop it. If the family wants to sue someone, they should sue Mystable. suing the Apple family is just going to result in the farm shutting down and many people throughout the city losing their jobs and businesses, so I doubt anyone is going to be sympathetic towards the family that caused them to lose their jobs all because their ‘precious child’ had their secret exposed online. Though it sounds like Sunset is going to try to save Sweet Apple Acres or does she have something else in mind?
9116981 One of them is class president and hates the cmc while her mother is a bitch on the school board willing to have them expelled and ran out of town.
9117066 If you mean Diamond Tiara and her mother then that’s out since she and Applebloom are friends, not to mention that she’s still sticking by her even after finding out about her involvement with Anon-A-Miss.
Am I the only one thinking that when all this is settled, Gilda and Dash need to have a talk about what happened?
"I honestly don't know what disgusts me more, Dash. The fact that you tried to get me to do your dirty work for you, or the fact that you honestly think I'm so thin-skinned that I'd put someone in the hospital over a friggin' Mystable post! We may not be friends anymore but.....I honestly thought you knew me better than that....."
So here's a quick question. Now that Sunset's name and face are in the paper, I don't suppose there'll be any mention of her counterpart? If this information is all over the media and internet she'd have to see it too eventually right?
9134619 Yeah I guess that makes sense. She's already in the middle of one identity crisis, last thing she needs is a second completely separate identity crisis.
Ah just saw todays paper and ah wanted to know how yah are feeling? am here if yah need me sugar cube. Applejack texted
I know this story is old(ish) and this may be a nitpick, but it would be one thing if AJ called and said that, but since she's texting (aka writing) it, it would be just normal (unless AJ writes with an accent too )
...and the plot thickens.

9080752
Mmm, indeed it does
9035568
You weren't kidding. That didn't help the situation at all and now they know her name
Sunset has a lot on her plate. Paparazzi spreading rumors she's Spitfire's daughter, the Sirens' heartstones, and dealing with the Anon-A-Miss aftermath. Things are not easy for her, are they?
More straws to a camel’s only recently recovered back.
okay here's the question how many paparazzi pony in mlp that probably also in equestria girls to
i only remember: Photo Finish and Featherweight
if is there another please reply or comment me....
9081768
It’s neither one of them, The first photo was taken by a random passerby who is a big fan of the Wonderbolts and sold the photo to the local newspaper. The second photos is from a paparazzi, but not one pony related.
9081814
so basically the whole thing just sunset severe case of bad luck?
9081508
Nope and they get even worse when the next photo takes special interest in who she is with. Not to mention that the paparazzi and news reporters are closing in on where she goes to school and they’ll be right on time to witness something.
9081818
Yep, or more specifically for the one who took her picture to be in the right place at the right time.
Okay. I’ve caught up to the latest chapter, and feel comfortable in saying that the story telling has improved quite a bit from the silliness that was the reveal of anon-a-miss’s identity. Unfortunately, the technical writing, while better, still leaves much to be desired. Did I miss something? What is she talking about?
9088862
This story is an alternate to Dainn's Anon-A-Miss, in that story the sirens were dying because without their pendants they couldn't eat and in exchange for helping Sunset figure out who Anon-A-Miss is they wanted new pendants.
9089284
I know that because Dainn's version is literally the first Anon-A-Miss fic I read. What did Aria mean when she said Sunset better help or she would become more famous than she already is? What exactly is she threatening?
9089313
She threatened to leak her name to the media, but that threat isn't valid anymore since someone already beat her to it.
9089344
Ah ok. I appreciate the clarification. I wasn't sure what exactly she was threatening since she didn't actually say it.
Then there's the fact she asked why Sunset was on the front page of the paper afterwards so...
I'm gonna get the princess to send me a bunch of gems which are commonplace in Equestria, exchange them for cash here and save Sweet Apple Acres.
9106106
clever girl.
9106390
There's a sort of poetic justice in doing something like that.
Besides nothing guilt trips like repaying betrayal with kindness. Mwah ha ha ha ha!
And maybe Applebloom will stop seeing Sunset as a demon as well
9106532
you're right about that in fact during the Christmas party at the Apple farm, Sunset will make them all feel even more guilty when she hands them their presents.
9106629
Nothing pleasures the soul like taking someone on that guilt trip of no return.
(Sigh) so rewarding
9106677
Yep.
9080830
i'm hoping this will be brought up in the story
never would've figured what would happen if Sweet Apple Acres does shut down
I doubt anyone who loses their job because of the lawsuit if it wins are going to be sympathetic to that family
this lawsuit better be worth it to the family suing if it's only going to result in them becoming worse social parahs than Anon-A-Miss
9116629
Sadly I only see ONE family that could do this but I worry Eternal Sunset would use it if I say who but you could make a list.
9116651
For the sake of the family who's suing, i'm hoping it will be worth it if it means they and their child will become outcasts
9116665
It will actually become public knowledge soon of what the Crusaders did to Sunset, everyone will know what the girls did and the Apple family’s name will be tarnished by not only the actions of Applebloom, but Applejack as well.
9116651
I doubt I will, but I know a certain duo in mind that will take advantage of this to further tarnish the Apple family name.
9116775
I've got a bad feeling about this. As Speedy Silverstreak pointed out, there could be possibly be a huge economic crisis if the lawsuit against Sweet Apple Acres succeeds and the farm gets shutdown. Mystable was the one who let Anon A Miss to run wild and they did nothing to stop it. Though it sounds like Sunset is going to try to save Sweet Apple Acres or does she have something else in mind?
9116651
Who’s the ‘one family’ that you speak of?
9116981
Why the Flim and Flam brothers of course.
9116862
I doubt i’ll Be exploring that, but rest assured that Sunset will save the farm.
9116981
One of them is class president and hates the cmc while her mother is a bitch on the school board willing to have them expelled and ran out of town.
9117021
Good! Because I don’t think Applejack and Apple Bloom deserve to lose their home despite what they have done
9117066
If you mean Diamond Tiara and her mother then that’s out since she and Applebloom are friends, not to mention that she’s still sticking by her even after finding out about her involvement with Anon-A-Miss.
Hey, so....
Or something to that effect?
9133667
No you're right, they definitely need to have words
So here's a quick question. Now that Sunset's name and face are in the paper, I don't suppose there'll be any mention of her counterpart? If this information is all over the media and internet she'd have to see it too eventually right?
9133667
funny enough I'm actually writing their confrontation right now, do you mind if I use this dialogue?
9134508
That's true, but for this story Sunset's human counterpart won't appear at all.
9134619
Yeah I guess that makes sense. She's already in the middle of one identity crisis, last thing she needs is a second completely separate identity crisis.
9134614
Knock yourself out.
9145873
Luna had nothing to do with their nightmares.
I know this story is old(ish) and this may be a nitpick, but it would be one thing if AJ called and said that, but since she's texting (aka writing) it, it would be just normal (unless AJ writes with an accent too )
