Also to answer a question that bothers some people. The Tenno are treated like criminals as its the fear of something people can't understand. so yea.

Chapter 16
Christmas Havoc

*ALERT: TWO TENNO SPOTTED*

*Location: Earth, +5 months since crash, Relic Hunters’ HQ*

“Just don’t break it, that things’ expensive,” Rhino pointed out as he held a ‘very’ shaky ladder as Mirage tried to balance a star on top of a massive tree

“Oh please, I got this, I’m just concerned for volty over there,” She said, pointing towards Volt as he was mummified in lights as he tried to untangle them

“You are an idiot, you know that, right?” Rhino quipped as muffled sarcastic laughter could be heard

“I don’t see you wrapped up in every person’s worst nightmare!” Volt barked as the lights turned on and then shocked him “Ow,”

"Now, see, that's what i meant by Idiot, or would you rather be called something else?" Rhino joked as Volt tried to free himself, but failed

“That does remind me, how’s my sis and the rest doing?” Cora asked as she attempted to carry a lot of boxes, Oberon was however watching the news as it showed the Tenno in a heated battle with a (Monkey) throwing bananas

“Fine, I see how they’re favouring,” Oberon moaned as he dialled something on the phone and then a voice came through the speaker

“Oberon! What’s up! Kind of in a middle of something!” Skyler shouted as the sound of splatting could be heard over gunfire

“Oh, God! How is finding this many bananas!!!” Excalibur yelled in the background as Neckros could also be heard beside Skyler

“I honestly don’t know- oh god he’s got the truck,” He said as the sound of exploding could be heard

“Oh, nothing, just seeing if you needed any assistance from a master, such as myself,” Oberon said proudly as most of the people in the room laughed, Cora just managing to silence herself

“No, unless you have some very good bananas, were out of luck!” Valkyr shouted as they heard her roar and Skyler sighed

“Look, we’ll have this wrapped up in no time, it’s just proving to be difficult,” She said before ending the call

Meanwhile on the street…

Excalibur, along with Valkyr, Neckros and Skyler were pinned behind piles of snow and cars as yellow objects flew over their heads as they tried to land a hit on the acrobatic target but failed as he just simply used his (Bo) to swing away.

“Ok, this is starting to get on my nerves, I swear I just wanted a simple shopping spree and that’s it! But noooo, this degenerate fuck just had to show up!” Excalibur hissed as he fired his Lex back at it, he then sighed and slid back down

“Right then, how about I use my Hysteria to distract him, Neckros, you follow up with your shadows to surround him, I’ll then swoop in and stop his movements and then Skyler, you will take the chip out with your weapons, got it?” Excalibur explained as Skyler shook slightly

“Uh, yea, I can do that,” She responded but something was wrong, Excalibur gave the other two a sign to keep laying down a supressing barrage

“Skyler, what’s wrong? You seem… out of it,” Excalibur asked as she looked at him as she smiled slightly

“I’m fine, just, thinking about things,” She responded as Excalibur then rested his hands on her shoulders and looked right at her

“You are a very terrible liar,” he said firmly as Skyler just frowned and looked down, Excalibur then looked around before continuing “It’s about the Orokin, isn’t it?”

“I just don’t know how much longer I can keep this up, from me helping you guys out, and trying to explain my reasons is proving to be more and more frustrating each day,” Skyler explained as she punched the snow beneath her

“I just don’t know what to do anymore, if I quit, I can’t cover all the debt I’m in or myself and my sis for that matter,” Skyler finished as she closed her eyes and let out a breath she was holding

She then felt a nudge from Excalibur as she looked up to see him holding out a small-blue-holographic (Symbol) in his hand. It was a circle with lines poking in different directions, and if looked at closely, they formed and ‘R’ and a ‘H’.

“I was gunna wait until this was over to give you this, but I think you need it now more than anything,” Excalibur said, his armour off as the blue scarf he wore covered his face as it blew in the wind, then he turned “You guys have fun if you want!”

Neckros and Valkyr both nodded as Nekros summoned a bunch of Corpus shadows before they leaped over to attack Wukong. Excalibur then turned back to face Skyler, her eyes as wide as plates.

“So, wanna join Relic Hunters?” Excalibur asked as he winked, as she just stared he decided to continue “You see, I may seem like the worst leader to exist, I’m dumb, cocky and a horrible planner, but what I lack in leadership I make up for in finding new members,”

“I look for strength, not in weapons, but in willpower, teamwork is another big factor in my criteria,” Excalibur explained as he lifted Skyler’s chin up to face him “I also look for people who will sacrifice their own desires to help others, no matter the cost,”

“So, what do you say?” Excalibur asked as he put his hand out for Skyler to shake

“Why me though? I don’t have any super strength, no speed, no powers, so why someone as normal as me?” She asked as Excalibur reached over and attached the symbol to Skyler’s left shoulder

“Because, anyone can fight, but the people who choose to fight others’ battles is a true friend,” Excalibur said simply as he rubbed the back of his neck “It took me forever to figure out what it meant, but whatever,”

Suddenly Excalibur was pulled in a hug from Skyler as her cried with happiness as he returned the jester.

“Oh, and I also may have cleared your debt and such today, so you know, no worries,” He said with a laugh as she looked at him with astonishment

“Your such an idiot,” She smiled as he did also

“Would you have it any other way?” He asked as she kissed him on his cheek as she blushed slightly

“Nope.” She replied, then they saw Nekros come flying over the bank as his armour was half covered in yellow and white

“Don’t you dare say a word,” He replied as Valkyr came flying over and landed on top of him “Ow,”

“Oops, sorry Neky, but on the bright side-“Valkyr then lifted her hand and revealed a chip “-Got it!”

“Well at least someone’s happy,” Nekros groaned as Valkyr noticed and jumped off

“Sorry,” She apologized then it dawned on her “Wait, why does Skyler have our symbol on her shoulder?”

Nekros also turned to see as Excalibur re-equipped his armour before grabbing his Prisma Skana.

“See’s now our newest member, but right now we have bigger problems!” He shouted as they saw a massive street with yellow and Wukong everywhere, then they saw Ember, Ash, Chroma (White) and Limbo running down the street

Ember and Chroma fired off another blast of fire as it the bubble continued to block their attacks, then a massive (Sibear) smash down as it fired off a wave of ice crystals.

“I must say, Excalibur could you give us some assistance!? He’s proving to be stronger than he looks!” Limbo shouted as he rolled out of the saw of an ice blast

Excalibur looked at the rest and saw that Valkyr and Nekros were spent from fighting Wukong, Ember’s group was already exhausted. That only left Two.

“Skyler… you ready?” Excalibur asked as she looked at him and smirked

“Let’s show him our hospitality,” Skyler responded as they both jumped over the snow mound and ran for (Frost), but the air seemed to get colder as they approached the Warframe

Frost noticed them and turned to blast Excalibur with another ice blast but missed him by mere inches as part of his arm froze. Excalibur however ran forward and began to swing at Frost as he used his arms to deflect the blows. Frost then swung his Sibear towards Excalibur as he back flipped to avoid the hammer, Frost kept swinging, forcing Excalibur into defence as he dodged the blows.

Excalibur slid on the ice as he spun and slashed Frost's ankles as he fell forward but managed to freeze Excalibur's legs to the ground.

"Dammit!" Excalibur cursed as he tried to pry his legs free

*SMASH-CRACK*

Excalibur fell back as his body twisted from the blow of the hammer, his body laid motionless as Frost approached his body.

*BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG*

Frost then turned to face Skyler as she shot Frost in the chest, but that did little to effect him as he walked towards her and lifted her by her throat. Skyler then twisted her body and kicked Frost in the face as he stumbled back. Skyler then ran forward and brought a fist to his jaw with a resounding crack. Skyler however held her hand as it flared with pain.

"I'll bury you all!" Frost hissed as ice and snow began to form around his arm, the air became cold as the ocean and the winds blew faster as Frost prepared to bury them all in ice

Frost however was intercepted by Excalibur as he leaped onto his back, causing him to drop his ability. He tried grabbing Excalibur but failed as he held onto the Warframe for dear life. His helmet however was cracked and had multiple chips missing.

"EMBER BURN HIM NOW!!!" Excalibur roared as she hesitated before complying and used her 'World On Fire' and soon the two Tenno lit up into flames,

Frost managed to turn his head to see Excalibur, his energy black as he held on.

"Burn in the fires!" Excalibur choked up as he shoved himself off him

When the fires settled Frost leaned forward before collapsing to the ground as his chip blew away in the wind. Everyone then ran towards Excalibur who was lying in a heap of snow, smoke rising from his armour. Valkyr quickly grabbed him as she shook him.

"Excalibur, Excalibur, are you ok!?" She asked as light breathing could be heard, followed by coughing

"There are no words to describe my pain right now," He said as they all laughed, Valkyr and Skyler helping Excalibur to his feet as they began to walk away, that is until more than 2 dozen guns pointed at them

"I must admit, you efforts to beat that Tenno was impressive," Came a familiar voice as they all looked to see Blitz, his navy-blue-spiked hair blew in the cold wind, his yellow eyes gave off no emotion as he smirked

"Now, i rather not ruin this victory for you terrorists, but sadly i'm here for those two new one's your carrying, please hand them over and we'll leave you in peace to leave this world," He spoke, getting right to the point

"What? Like we'd give them to you! there are allies, our friends, not your property!" Valkyr snapped as his smirk remained

"And why should we leave? all we've done is help fix this problem and keep your planet safe fro-" Ember began but Excalibur's hand stopped her as he steadied himself to look at him

"Explain." Excalibur asked, his voice more serious than before

"Well you see, you have all overstayed your welcome and we rather avoid any unnecessary conflicts, as such you have a choice, leave and never come back, or stay and we'll become more... difficult then sending spies to deal with you," He explained as he pointed at Skyler, her eyes grew wide as he smiled, Excalibur however stayed the same

"Yea, i knew," He said simply as Blitz's smiled faltered slightly "I'm not that big of an idiot you know, ever since she teamed up with us i knew she would be beaming info to you, you gave her a code to shut up and say nothing but sadly, my good friend, Ordis, took care of that," Excalibur explained as the A.I came the coms

"Yes, it was easy to perform, now then~CUT THEM ALL DOWN~negotiate kindly with them so we can leave," Ordis finished as Excalibur looked strait at the Commander, as guns clicked and pointed at Excalibur

"You can send an army, but if you hurt my friends, my family, i'll make you pay," Excalibur said coldly as he walked back to the group and held his skana, pointing at the Commander "As for the two Tenno, they're coming with us!"

Blitz stood silent for a moment before clapping, then the guards lowered their weapons.

"You really are something Tenno Leader, you can keep them, for now, we'll leave you alone for now, but mark my words, the next time won't be so lucky," He warned as then gestured his hand towards Skyler as she hesitantly moved but was stopped by Excalibur's arm, she looked at him in surprise before looking at he shoulder

"I'm one of them now, they've shown me such kindness and friendship, almost like a family, Even Twilight's friends accepted my life," Skyler thought before clenching her fist and stomped her foot

"As of today i quit!" Skyler shouted, this made the Commander actually frown, then it became rage as he pointed his own weapon at her

"You dare side with the Terrorists? you know that could make you a criminal, you will be branded a trader to your country and people," Blitz said firmly as Skyler's steely gaze didn't falter as the Tenno around her stood around her

"I don't care, these people have shown me more happiness than anyone I've ever met, they care about me, they accept me for who i am," Skyler stated before finishing with the 'Bird' "Oh and Commander? go fuck yourself!"

This made most of the Tenno laugh as they patted her on the back for that. Then they turned and began to walk away. Excalibur remained as he gave the Commander once last look before parting. One guard came up to Blitz and saluted.

"Sir, should we attempt to capture the Tenno?" He asked as Blitz grabbed a cigarette and lit it, took a draw and exhaled

"No. We have plans to procure us a test subject, for now keep monitoring them, do not intercept unless you here from me," Blitz ordered as they all began to pack up and move out, one thing however brought a smile to the commander's face, which one of them noticed

"Commander? what's so funny?" She asked as he looked at her before closing his eyes

"Oh nothing much, just that fool's weakness, that i will take much to heart to exploit," He responded before thinking to himself

"Your compassion will be your downfall Relic Hunter..."

7747174 no..no they aren't. how the tenno and warframe interact was explained during the second dream quest line. but they certainly aren't just taken on or off like power armor is.
