When Applejack finds something in the orchard she and her sister are facinated by it. Soon after, Applejack Goes insane and nopony knows why. When Applebloom steals the thing her sister found she has no idea just what she is exposing Ponyville too.

just a short little thing i wrote. it couldve gone further or deeper im just not very patient. one day. one day ill write something longer.

Sirmay, if you're asking what the sprite drop was that's just it. Nopony really ever knows what it is. However applebloom refers to it as a sprite drop so that's what the story calls it.
